How do you know that? I don't think that would happen at all.

Would like to see what he can do for one more year. And that's not just being self-serving since the bumblebee jersey I'm wearing on the left is a Harrison jersey.....although subconsciously, that probably plays a role....

He still would've made more with the Steelers than the Bengals, getting between 3-4 million for a 35yr old OLB ain't exactly cheap.

C'mon man you can't be serious. You mean to tell me you are willing to sacrifice the development of some of our players at the expense of some measly wins. They are so overrated....;)

The point is, he had a contract that the Steelers didn't honor, had they not tried to renegotiate his contract and get him to take less money, he never would have left.

    Freak,
If I look at your two posts on this subject, it sounds like you don't want to bring Harrison back because you think he's better than Jones, and will take away Jones' starting spot. Now, I (sort of) understand how that could have an impact on JJ, but so what? We're not the Jaguars. We're not sacrificing the present to groom guys for the future. We should be doing everything we can afford to do to be the best team we can be right now. I wouldn't want to sacrifice the future in an all out rush to challenge this year, but Harrison would be cheap. I don't think our front office views JH as having much left in the tank. However, if they did, they should be bringing him back and telling JJ "you have to earn it son."

The reason I said that I "sort of" understand how it could affect JJ is that I think there will be plenty of opportunities for JJ even if we bring JH back. Worilds always seems to have nagging injuries, and JH wouldn't be an 800+ snap guy at age 36. So when taking that into account, I see minimal negative impact on JJ's growth.

Whats to lose by inviting him to camp and telling him to make the team contingent to getting a vet mini contract, after all there will be 90 players in the fold, why not JH, whats the downside to that????

I can't see JH's presence hindering Jarvis Jones. If by some chance there was a reason that JH started over JJ, then so be it. Whoever puts the team in a better position to win is all that matters. I can't see it happening, but if it were to happen, JJ would have even more time to develop behind one of the greatest to have played his position. The odds of that happening are almost nil though, IMO.

The FO probably are skeptical as to how much is left in Deebo's tank. There wasn't much there his last season, and it wouldn't be a great bet to believe his game has significantly improved since then. We have some guys that the FO seems to believe in with JJ and Moats, and we will roll with them.

It's not necessary to sign him now anyways IMO. He's obviously in great shape and doesn't need a training camp to get up to speed with the D. If injuries hit the position, James will only be a phone call away. If anyone else was going to snag him, he would be employed already. It's a win-win for us. We will only have to pay him if we need him.

I see them as a death trap too. I can't imagine what it would look like after a head-on collision. :?

at least with a MC you could get thrown free, but in that can you are trapped. if you have a fat chick on back she can also be used as an airbag in some circumstances.:cool:

I assumed Harrison in the Smart car was a joke, because everyone always shows up to training camp in something weird. Who would expect a badass like Harrison to drive something like that?

As for Harrison, I can't see a reason why he wouldn't be signed at some point. As was already mentioned, he knows what to do, and doesn't need training camp. Cut one of the marginal at best LB's on the team cough:carter:cough and sign Harrison once camp is done.

Harrison at age 36 isn't better than Worilds geez no matter what position, even if the Steelers signed him it wouldn't be for him to start.

You're kidding right? If they signed him he would start because Worillds would be hurt (again).
