I totally disagree as well. I love how people just write him off even though he played in a entirely new system, new role and used sparingly. We have zero depth at the position and I guarantee he is better than our back- ups.

I would take a 50 year old Harrison over Carter.

I think if the Steelers had felt that Harrison could be an effective starter OR backup they would have found a way to retain his services last year. Get used to the fact that Silverback will never don the black and gold again. That train left the station last year never to return. He was one of the greatest Steelers and made arguably the greatest play in Super Bowl history and we'll all be eternally grateful for that as fans. But he's not coming back. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me to see him retire.

If they felt that way, they never would have negotiated with him, would have just cut him. Need a LB, Jack, if they feel he is better then anything else on the market, they'll try to bring him in. Considering what's out there, not really far fetched.

Look who's talking the guy with a Greg Lloyd in his avatar. You guys need to stop going down memory lane it's not 2008 anymore, Harrison sucked with the Steelers in 2012. They need a younger OLB backup who may have to play special teams.

That's basically what it boils down too. It's a depth signing,we have none and no matter who we try and get in FA or the draft it will take a while to learn the system. Carter has been here long enough to be able to show something and he hasn't. Outside of a decent final pre season game to save his roster spot last year he has been invisible. Dollar for dollar I'd rather give Harrison, Chris Carter's money.

So you're going to tell me he wouldn't be an upgrade over what we currently have behind JJ and Worlids? I'm not saying to pencil him in as you're starter and give him a multi year contract, just sayin he's worth a one year deal as a back up.

yes but I didn't make the statement that fans get sentimental about players. That's why your statement is funny because of all the thousand of Steeler related images out there you could have chosen you have a picture of four former Steelers greats. That is funny stuff.

Its spring and the young males often beat their chests and engage in tests of strength in order to attract a female. I believe it is called twitterpated.

Neither are we. We're talking about resigning James Harrison. In all seriousness the old washed up thing is your opinion and it isn't shared by some.
