Jack Colletto

So awesome that he is a Steeler. I do have to toot my own horn here. I was saying that the Steelers should pick him up (while he was still at Oregon State- my fav collegiate team) and here he is. Very talented player and great guy! I will say that I didn't know he was on the roster b/c last season he was on the practice squad.

Does anyone remember seeing him on offense this preseason? If so, how did he do? Thank you

 

I think he has played a few snaps in preseason, but I doubt he makes the 53.

 

I think a lot will depend on how Harris and Warren feel about him. It's always eye opening for rb's who have only ever played in single back offenses to suddenly having a true lead blocker in front of them. Bettis loved having Krieder opening that hole for him. I'm sure Tomlin and Kahn don't seek player opinion on roster spots but they will hear guys talking. Doesn't hurt to have a vet in your corner when trying to make the team.

 

I don't see it happening using a roster spot for a FB.

 

That's alright I didn't think Warren would make the team and be given a legit shot back when he forced his way into the 53. We all make mistakes

I am a day late. I thought you were posting that Jack Colletto had made the 53-man roster on Monday night.

Very limited action this preseason. I was hoping for more I-Formation with Colletto. He did have a fumble recovery off of one of Fields bad snaps in the 1st preseason game.

I am really hoping he makes the roster and Arthur Smith uses him as a lead blocker for Najee. I just think Najee would be so much better with a FB blocking in front of him.

 

If Fields is the QB, I could see them using Colleto in the Pistol formation as a sidecar to Fields. It's essentially Power-I concepts ran out of the Pistol.
