Three deep playoff runs in 14 seasons, the lone title coming 12 years ago as everything fell their way (Brady hurt, AFC top seed Titans upset, NFC top seeds upset, etc.).

In the other years, crushing collapses or playoff disappointments:

2007: 9-3 to 10-7, including WC loss at home.
    2009: 6-2 to 9-7, "unleash hell"
    2011: Tebow'd
    2012: 6-3 to 8-8
    2013: 8-8
    2014: WC loss at home
2015: Late loss to Ravens' B-team knocks them out of playoffs, let back in by Jets loss in week 17, only to lose to Manning's corpse in the divisional round
    2017: Bortles
    2018: 7-2-1 to 9-6-1
    2019: 8-5 to 8-8
    2020: 11-0 to ???

They're trending towards a complete collapse and 11-7, maybe they'll run into an opponent ravaged by Covid and steal a win.

He should have been gone long ago. It's a shame the organization hangs on to a coach who can't get the most out of his team.

People criticize me for saying this but AR2 values that winning regular season. Anything past that great, but not his primary focus. They run this franchise like a bank and I'm far past tired of it.

This already happened when we barely beat the Raven's JV team.

ARII values his position as a political correctness juggernaut! He uses the Steelers to further that cause!

I never said I was leaving. Just wish people would stop bowing at the Rooney's altar and recognize that they may not care about winning as much as the fans do.

I won't get into that. But if I had the ownership's resources and was blessed with this good of a franchise I'd be busting my butt trying to put together the best coaching staff and being the best. I don't understand how you can just sit back and say ok Mike whatever you think is best. Fool me once shame on you, fool me 10 times, big shame on me.

11-7 huh? Let's hope if they get to 11-6 the NFL does not extend the season for them., as 11-6 would include all the regular season and a playoff loss.

2011 as well, coming off a SB appearance, 12-4 yet 2nd place, going against something like a 45% passer and losing in OT on a 80 yard play..Losing to Tebow and Blake Bortles..depressing times.

Agreed but the bottom line is that with the power and money he has, ARII does what trips his trigger.......and I don't think the Steelers winning is his top priority. I think his priority is to own a great sports franchise which is a leader in political correctness. Excessively wealthy people do very strange things for their own edification.

11-7? Now we’re losing 2 playoff games? Must be a double elimination tournament.

When the same mistakes keep happening year after year and the philosophy hasn't changed I mean I don't know what else to believe. If you're committed to winning championships you would work to change that stuff not just meh maybe next time.

I wanted Tomlin fired after both the 2017 Jax debacle, and the 2018 season debacle.

In 2019 Tomlin impressed me. 8-8 with that team was an achievement. He had this team focused on football to start the year, when many others were focused on other issues. This team when healthy was quite impressive. Some of the issues the Steelers are facing are above Tomlin's control.

Tomlin gets a pass from me for this season. I support him going into 2021.

Despite what I've said above idk what to think anymore. I mean that undefeated streak suggests that he did a lot right. But this collapse even with all the injuries suggests that we don't have innovative coaches on the offense side at least. Is that Tomlin's or the front office fault? I can't say. But I feel like Tomlin is the kinda guy who is too stubborn to admit that his staff is below average and it ultimately contributes to his underachievement. And it sucks to see him almost sabotaging himself. Idk just rambling I guess.

This is a common opinion, that Tomlin was some kind of magician in 2019. Not sure why. The Steelers were favored to win in 8 football games last year. They won exactly that number.

Yes, they were downgraded at QB when Ben went down, but they did nothing to overcome that. Wildcat vs. Cincy? Don't make me laugh. They got dealt a hand and folded. Cowher won divisions with stiffs like Maddox, O'Donnell, Stewart, Tomczak.

They got nothing from the offense and thrived off of a defense with what, 9 first round picks in the starting lineup? And even then they were getting gashed before they signed Minkah.

Sorry, I think any number of coaches could have won 8 with that roster. Some might have gotten more from Mason. The offensive acumen on this coaching staff is way, way below the line.
