The Pirates rules Pittsburgh during Ernie's time in the Burgh. My first game was 1963 so maybe I saw him???????????????????????????????????????

I didn't even try to spell his last name. I didn't want the grammar police to get me even though they should know that the grammar police and the SPELLING police are to different entities.

It depends on whether you use “Burrows” as a verb. “Joe Burrows under the covers at night after having nightmares about Watt, Heyward and Tuitt.”

A good old 69, I think I remember there is a reason to like that number.

Let us not forget #69 Gabe Rivera (RIP) Chuck Noll decided to rebuild the D like he did when he drafted Joe GreenE and took Gabe in front of Dan Marino which pissed me off for a good 10 years.

Let's hope Dotson makes something big of himself in the Burgh!

My personalized Steelers Jersey is number 69.
I've had others ask if that was my number in School...I shake my head ,and tell them no.....I just fancy the number.

Needless to say LC my favorite of the 68's.

Always remember thinking if I ever met Kemoeatu in the street I'd of run like hell the other way. He was a mean looking dude. I lived in Hawaii for a couple years and they had a ton of guys who looked like him.

Gary Dunn my favorite. Was part of our strong D in the mid 70's. Believe he has 2 SB rings and if memory serves he had a lot of sacks for us.

I always liked Brendan Stai, but can't remember why he left after only 4 years. Contract issue??

Stai in his last season with the Steelers had 6 false starts and 3 holding penalties according to pro football reference. He received a 2.75m signing bonus when he joined Jacksonville as a free agent. Again that was in the 90's era when the Steelers didn't extend their own contracts very often.

Man I'm old. I remember Van Dyke since he was in the game when the immaculate reception was made. Being a young punk I was goofing off with friends outside the stadium when Franco made the catch. We were very confused as to why the crowd was going crazy.

Evans and Peterson escape my memory. Faneca and Decastro I salute you both 66 times!!!!!

Good luck with #65. Too lazy to research but I can't think of one Steeler who wore 65. Maybe someone from the 1940's or 50's??????????????????????????????????????????

I remember Lloyd Voss, he was the Steelers best DL in the mid-1960's.
