Yep. Losing one of the best QB's in the game for an extended period will do that. The division is still there but a Wild Card isn't a bad consolation prize if we can get there.

If they lose to the bengals with Ben it'd still be hard.

From the sound of it they should have Ben back for that game.

Just need a few wins under Vick and a few loses by the Bengals lol

It was going to be hard before Ben went down. It wasn't going to be easy with our tough schedule to begin with. Just gotta hope we can pull out a win or two without Ben and try to get into the playoffs if we can't win the division. Overcoming adversity is a what champions do.

Watching the Cincy game their offense is stacked. I know we got Bell and Brown, but their WR's across the board are all legit threats. Their TE is good too and finally healthy.

How about if we worry about our next game and worry about the rest as they come.

True, but it's the same crap with this team. 2 AFC games, 2 Losses. Until the team takes the numbers game seriously and wins these conference games, we'll still be sitting here at the end of the season worrying about tie breakers.

Indeed. Dalton's passer rating drops with the temperature. By December he'll be the Dalton we all know and love.

Next week is setting up to be a must win go 0-3 in the AFC pretty much zero chance to win any tiebreakers
    Unless we run the table

Yea thats not gona happen, i dont see how we win the Div, unless Cinn has a total meltdwn......( which is possible) but i think the best we can hope for is a wild crd spot.. and as of right now i dnt see have high hopes for that.. hope im wrong

I knew we had a tough schedule this year but, until I actually looked at it, I didn't realize HOW tough. It was going to be hard with Ben. Without him ....I just don't know.

It's very early in the season and the division is still well within reach.

The Bengals are playing very well and have earned their record of 4-0. They will be challenged this week against the Seachickens. I think that they will rattle Dalton more than any other opponent to this point. I'm not discounting any performance by the Bengals this season so far but I believe they will come back down to earth real soon. Bottom line, they are probably the healthiest team out there and sooner or later the injury bug catches up to teams. It always does and I'm not no sure that they have the depth on Oline or in the defensive back field to cover key pieces of the puzzle. Also their defense gives up huge amounts of yardage but locks down in the red zone. Sooner or later that will not be the case especially when the weather starts to turn.

The Rats don't scare me at all but good God, why couldn't Scobie make one of those FG's? Also, the play calling was atrocious in the 2nd half along with more clock mismanagement. Another Tomlin blunder IMO.

Clowns will always be the Clowns. They will compete with Baltimore for the cellar of the division.

Steelers should be fine but they do have have to play better and Tomlin has to prepare them better. The problem continues to be that they seem to beat themselves against less competition. This has happened year in and year out under MT. I just don't know why it hasn't found a remedy yet. Clock mismanagement and very questionable situation play calling seem to be the norm and that needs to stop if they want to even make the playoffs let alone win the division. Unfortunately the Steelers have had a ton of injuries and I don't think the coaching staff knows how to adjust to those missing pieces. Good news is that we will be getting key players back soon and that should bode well for the results.

Win in San Diego. To early to speculate although the loss to the purple crow was a sledgehammer. Take care of the division first, already 0-1. Yes the Bungles will fail again, we have all seen it. Regular season wonders though could keep our Steelers out of the post season.
Let's see how they respond to the devastating loss.

The bungles have the same schedule we have, minus 2 at large games, so they have the second hardest schedule in the league, if they cruise through this schedule, look out, they might just be for real this time....
