I don't think Pickett was that great anyway. Pair him with Canada and Tomlin and it's a recipe for disaster. And by the way, Dick Lebeau would've never let a rookie qb beat us

We are wasting TJ's good years, Minkah's etc. If we missed on KP that puts us years behind. They will have to bring in a new OC then we get the excuse its a whole new offense etc to see if he is our QB or not. If he's out for the year that really sucks, because he will be 26 0r 27 next year. Do we expect him to play for 10 years. This could become a total **** show! I keep thinking of the QB comments, he was the most NFL ready QB that appears to not be ready but we will never know until an NFL OC is put in place and we shore the line up. All of that takes times and then TJ loses a step, etc. This just sucks.

Bubby could stand in the pocket and had a strong arm things Pickett does not

    Bubby just wasn’t very bright

Mike Tomlin is the issue. Until he’s gone, the issues will never go away. This team is consistently ill prepared to play week in and week out. If you lose games and your competitive, we can accept that even if it still hurts. But playing a rookie team with half it’s team injured with a rookie head coach is a ****ing embarrassment and it’s not the first, second or 10th time.

This is an issue 4 times a year, at least, year in and year out no matter who the offensive coordinator or quarterback is.

When they're giving up 30 pts on defense to a makeshift line, then we should look at the DC when it comes to wasting talent. The problems here are bigger than Pickett and Canada. They're just the topic of discussion atm.

And on top of that Highsmith doesn't record a sack from a guy who was making his first NFL offensive snap!!!!!!!!!

All three need to go and it would be the greatest present ever. Remember when Cowher came in he added Lebeau, Earhardt, etc, etc. He built top quality coordinators around him. This to me is Tomlin's biggest failure!

Yeah, the defense is just awful too...They were 27th in yards before today.Like always if the steelers don't have turnovers on defense and they face good coaching team, this is a struggle for this defense.Austin is just awful just like Butler. They can't stop the run.But this problem is under the radar because of our pathetic offense

And Cowher didn't keep his assistants too long if they were bad!

Because Tomlin has set a standard. He's all talk, no results. Has been for 10+ years, yet some will still have you believe he is "one of the greats". I can tell you this, there is not a head coach in the NFL that is at all worried about facing a Tomlin prepared team. NONE. If I were suddenly head coach, first time in my life, I'd ask to face any team Tomlin is leading.

I understand that the sh*t show is deeper than Pickett. Much deeper. However , the reality is that the pist game film review shows him repeatedly making poor decisions and inaccurate throws. I really want him to succeed here, but the video evidence says that he’s every bit as much the problem that Canada and the O line are. Maybe he can grow into an adequate bridge QB. I don’t see the ceiling beyond that.

Doesn't mean he will make the one change he should: firing Matt Canada. To be sure, there are other changes that should be made like sitting Wallace in favor of JPJ, for one example.

I just fail to see any QB in the draft being any better.

Wallace or Peterson? Both stinks, but Pat P seems to be worse

OMG, I don't know what the record on consecutive long 3rd down passes given up are, but I know Wallace name will appear multiple times in the top ten list.

Guess I gotta laugh at something, or else I might cry.
Waited 6 months for this crap, I was on record saying no way we have less than 11 wins this year.

We’ll see how the CFB season pans out. I think there’s potentially more out there than just Williams and Maye. Im not even sure if Maye will be QB2 when it’s all said and done.

Meahwhile Baker Mayfield has been doing a decent job in Tampa. Did we ever have a chance of getting that guy as our backups both suck? I know I'm grasping, admittedly but have no faith we can win a game with either of our two backups here on out if KP is down a long stretch.

Curious to see Ben's footbahlin take on this **** show. He becomes a little to PC though and won't take a shot at the performance.

Even before the 9's game I was thinking you get some later round picks and and possibly move up in the 3rd and get a QB. This for several reasons, KP would be in his 3rd year, after which you need to make a decision on the 5th year option. You know Mitch is not long term, so you bring in the rookie and see what you have. Maybe a back up, or more. At this point I'm wondering if you do not go 2nd round. The QB class looks deeper next year, some guys will fall, do your homework and possibly find someone. You just cannot sit back and wait any longer, not saying that kid would start, but sitting for a year and learning you have someone in the wings, and it looks like he would not be in the wings long.

As bad as the Steelers O was today, they scored twice as many points as both Browns and Bengals did today. This Division is now the worst in the NFL.
