like the '08 or '10 steelers team? I'm beginning to see similarities.

The offense is better than the 2008 and 2010 teams.
Defense, gives up way too many yards, doesn't get near the sacks and QB pressures the 2008 and 2010 teams got.
They do get some turnovers which is nice, and has been lacking the last 4-5 seasons. So I'll give them that.
They do seem to shut down the rushing attack well. Let's not forget that Osweilier had 300 passing yards at halftime.
Most QB's get that over the course of a game, and it's a deemed a good game. They adjusted better in the 2nd half.
If we can hold teams to about 24 points or less. I like our chances on anybody we play.
We also can not have offensive of turnovers, we are not good enough to over come those, and games we have lost this year attribute
to the differential of the turnover battle.

There is no similarities to either team. This team does remind of me 2009 a bit, with an explosive offence and brutal defence.

I suppose the offense sort of looks like the '78 Steelers, but the defense is bipolar and looks like nothing I can remember.

How can you let in 27 points in a half to a crap QB , then shut him down in the second half? What kind of defense is that? It`s such a tease, that we could be average to good at times on defense, then look so horrible.

I'd say neither. Our O is way better than either of those years and our defense is not nearly as good. We are the the exact opposite of those teams IMO. In 2008-2010 we had a defense full of studs and an offense that was kinda hit or miss. Today we have an offense full of studs and a hit or miss defense.

I will say it kinda reminds me of 2005 in that we are getting hot to end the year with a real possibility of having to go on the road all the way to the SB.

For the record, I like this years team's chances of winning it all just as much as I did those teams.

Hoping they're like the 05 team and avenge their loss to the Pats, as they did with the Colts

Don't know about the similarities between this team and other Steeler teams. But I do know I believe this team will win the SB this year. It just feels right for this team this year. I have a 1,000.00 bet for them to win the SB at 25 -1 so it would be a nice payday, but them winning would mean more to me than the money. I don't have all that much time left at my age so winning #7 this year would work well for me.
Last week they won their 9th game so I collected on my bet they would win over 8 games this year and I won the Denver game because I only gave 6 points and they won by 7. So far I'm on target to reach the amount I want to reach for the animals by the end of the next two games.
It's been a good year but still 6 more games to win. It just feels right this year.

The offense is actually better- at least statistically- than any of the 70s Super Bowl teams. Of course it's now a much more offense friendly era.
I will make one comparison with more recent years. In 2008, the Steelers faced a similarly brutal schedule, and overcame it with defense, the same way this team is doing it with offense.

The offense may be better than any Steeler team., but the defense is poor. There is no way to compare this to any past team without a defense.
