I'll guarantee you every QB the Steelers are set to face are very well acquainted with who Blake is and are licking their chops to get to know him better!

Don't get me wrong, I was hoping AB would torch Richard Sherman yesterday, but you've got to admit that it was a beautiful thing seeing a top flite CB take arguably the number one receiver in football completely out of the game. AB was irrelevant yesterday! It's a good thing the Steelers are so blessed with depth of talent at the WR position or we would have been trounced yesterday. Most teams don't have that kind of depth so when the number one receiver is shut down it's basically over.

Steeler Friends we ALL know I hope that this secondary is the weak link. With limited pass rush it's like a beacon of light shining on this piss poor unit.
Mitchell looked lost, out of step, although has come on of late. Will Allen was horrible, although has had some success. Gay? Was he playing yesterday? Cockrell, horrible. And Blake was a billboard ALL day. This is what they have. And the whole Boykin not playing because they are worried about giving up a 4th doesn't make any sense. PLAY him. Sit Blake. Put Gay on the outside. DO SOMETHING. Golden should start over Allen.

Yes they are still in the hunt, but they better figure something out or they will be outside looking in. Might be to late this season.

At this point I would settle for a DB with good High School tape .... I am sure there are better guys playing the position right now at that level than what the Steelers are trotting out there...

Interesting article. A couple of observations: first, the article references the fact that Boykin is the best slot CB in football according to the "stats" (I remember reading that PFF had him rated as such when we traded for him). He was able to lead the team in interceptions in 2013 with a total of 6 even though he played half the time of the other CBs. The article also talks about him becoming a more complete CB in 2014 even though his INT number declined. The guy is a PLAYMAKER. Chip Kelly obviously likes tall CBs and he has drafted and signed CBs of 6 ft or taller since he's been there. Boykin was "only" 5'10" which happens to be a tall CB for us. Bottom line, NOTHING IN THIS ARTICLE CONVINCED ME THAT BOYKIN SHOULD NOT BE STARTING FOR THE STEELERS, IN FACT, IT REINFORCED MY BELIEF THAT HE SHOULD BE STARTING. The fact that he didn't start in Philly because the genius coach they have wanted taller CBs doesn't change my mind.
