Since they already have one loss in the AFC, you can't lose to the worst team in the division. Now the Ravens have their confidence back after beating the Chiefs, all 4 teams in the AFC North are 1-1.

    Yes.

A divisional win early in the season will yield dividends later on. Having that divisional lead could prove instrumental in terms of playoff seeding later in the year. This is not accounting for the current problems and woes this team already has to overcome heading into this game as well.

No such thing in week 3 especially when the whole division is tied, but it sure would make me feel better. That's the beauty of the NFL though, every game feels like a must win at the time.

No and it really doesn't matter as Ben is at his best right now and we still can't win he will go down hill as the season goes on ..At this point the Bengals are a better Team and should win by 10....

AFC will be tight in the Standings this Season.

AFC games should be treated as must wins.

    Define "must win".
If it means we need to win to get to the playoffs, no.
If it means we need to win to get our minds right and build confidence, maybe.
If it means we need to win to not embarrass ourselves with another loss to a team we're supposed to beat, at home, then yes.

Well the Bengals beat the Steelers last season with a 3rd string QB, the Steelers shouldn't be resting nobody.

Technically no, but if we start this season 1-2 with a home loss to the Bengals, it’s going to take something pretty dramatic - like several of our young players growing up overnight - to overcome the deficit.

Yes it is. I’ll go on record as saying if they lose this game Sunday at home to the Bengals and drop to 1-2 with a home loss to the Bengals they are not gonna make the playoffs. The Bengals aren’t as terrible as they used to be and aren’t a complete pushover but this is a game the Steelers simply have to win and cannot lose. There are games this year on the Steelers schedule seeing how tough it is that you look at ahead of time especially the home games where you say these games the Steelers MUST win. This is one of those games.

A win in this game won’t fix everything but it will put the Steelers in a pretty good spot at 2-1 overall and in the AFC and 1-0 in the division and hopefully give them some confidence going into Lambeau next week to play the Packers.

But yes this is a MUST win for all practical purposes. The Steelers lose this game they aren’t making the playoffs. You have to beat teams like the Bengals at home.

    I'm saying no.

This season is shaping up to be fairly changeable across the NFL. I expect surprise wins and losses every week.

On a side note, I'm always a bit perplexed when people talk about Tomlin overlooking teams, then declare there's no excuse for not beating certain teams...

No, but if they can't beat this team at home after a bad loss my 7-10 prediction will be taking on water. Burrow threw picks on three consecutive passes vs. the Bears. If the D gets some guys back they should beat this team.
