I dont want to say it’s a must win but if you lose and fall to 0-2 the math and the margin of error for future games is gonna get a lot tougher. I think if they win this game get some confidence back they have a chance to get on a run the next few weeks with games at San Fran and home to Cincy and Baltimore.

With how everyone saw how he acted the entire offseason then he ultimately gets to the patriots. Everyone was rooting for the Steelers to win that game because of that.

Improved defense? Their secondary sucks, Andy Dalton threw for over 400 yards on them last week.

I don't know that it's an absolute must-win, but it IS a "must-compete", if you will. Another showing like last week's blowout, and it will be lights out for some players psyche imo. If that happens I really do think that it's the beginning of the end for Tomlin.

In terms of playoffs no because the schedule the rest of the way is fairly easy. The ravens gave a 1st place schedule so therefore there's is much tougher. But I still dont like the steelers chances.

Nope sorry last week was a opportunity to compete. This week at home after being shellacked and all the excuses already being made. Sorry again, there is no compete . They need to win.

    Chicago Tribune:

"Since the league expanded its playoff field to 12 teams in 1990, just 28 out of 223 teams (13 percent) during that time have recovered from an 0-2 start to make the playoffs."

Yes, tomorrow's game is a must win... because the next game at SF on the west coast is likely a loss, given Tomlin's piss poor history in preparing the team for west coast games. 1-2 is better than 0-3. Obviously.

Yes and that’s after 2 teams Indy and Houston did it just last year. So before that it may have been 10% or less

It’s a must win for my mental health. Swear to Christ this has been the longest week since that disaster in New England.

Baltimore only has two different opponents. Other than that they play the same teams we do.

It's a must win. Haden had a full practice Friday so hopefully he's all good because I'm really worried what Metcalf is going to do to this secondary.

To me, every game is a "must-win" game. When a team starts thinking that a loss or loses are acceptable, they end up on the outside looking in at the playoff teams.

    Yes, this is a must-win.

I see it as a must win with the definition being, if you are a playoff contender, you win a home game like this.

I`m feeling very pessimistic. If we play well and win, it would surprise me very much.

That is ridiculous thinking. Why wouldn’t ever game a must win. That is Tomlin thinking.

Well, this was a must win game and they lost.

So what does that make next weeks game? A must-must win game? And if they lose does that mean the season is over and there are no more must games?

Somewhere around week 11, the practicality or impossibility of thr post season will be clear. Those will dictate must win games. Win, you're in or set; lose you're out. Those are thevrel must win gamed.
