No, Pouncey is not expendable. Yes, he will be the center. No, he's not overrated. No, he won't move to guard. No, Wallace is not nearly as good.

    Glad I could help. :smiley1:

Pouncey is much better at pulling and at protecting ben but he can not stay on the field. What scares me about pouncey is he looks like he barely gets touched and he blows a ligament. That is not good for a player that the running back is gonna be running over him every play.

Wallace apparently is really bad lol. Was reading he was one of the worst centers. We need to find a solid C/G swing guy. We were ranked top 10 offensive line even with the LT/C drop off so they are saying we mihgt have one of the best next year. Skill wise this team is shaping to be crazy dangerous.

 You sure you're thinking of Pouncey?

Why is the RB running over the center?

You can't make the club if your in the tub, I would try to make the best trade possible
for him. Maybe get back our 2 draft choices in the process?

We are stuck with Pouncey and I blame this on Kevin Colbert. It's nice having the Steeler legacy of great centers but, many teams are successful without having a premier overpriced center. The kind of many they given him should go to tackles or guys that can put points on the board or quarterbacks on the ground. If at least, don't pay Pouncey so much that it tightens up the teams wallet to the point, it negatively affects keeping other players. He's also an injury waiting to happen. I get it someone rolled up on him, this happened to him or that. People act like only these kinds of things happen to Pouncey. It happens to many players but Pouncey, is a glass house. Also, Pouncey gets pushed back a lot. I see defenses pancake him on more than one occasion. He does not do well against the big guys. I'd love to see him get sent packing and Cody get the job. Cody does well enough and gives the o line some nasty to it.

No matter what you think about Cody Wallace, I think this season clearly showed that Pouncey is expendable. I'm not saying Wallace is a better center or even in Pouncey's league, but I think Wallace's performance was an indication that you can use a stop gap at center and be okay. The question with Pouncey is can he stay healthy? I personally am not happy with the boat load of money we're tying up with Pouncey when we have to go out and sign scrubs in our secondary.
