Is our Defensive line really as good as we think they are?

Herring all the news out of training camp all we heard was how Harmon, Black and Benton were dominating in practice and blowing up plays. My concern is that in two preseason games two other teams defensive fronts have been blowing up plays as well going against our offensive line. So are we really that good on our defensive front or is it that are line is just really bad?

in the small sample size of our defensive front in the two preseason games I didn’t really see much from Harmon or Benton.black played a lot more and was meh. Good on so,e plays and pushed back on others with a single blocker.

Well, Heyward and Joseph-Day haven't played yet should be a strength on the team.

Holding a New York Jets team that will be more run heavy focused in the Regular Season to just 62 Rushing Yards is pretty damn good. This isn't accounting for the reasons that @steelersrule6@steelersrule6 also outlined. Add in the fact that Payton Wilson is ascending in terms of both reading his keys and block shedding and the run defense will be much improved from year's past.

Run Defense isn't my current problem with the Defense as it stands. Corner remains the biggest issue; Adonai Mitchell turning Jamel Dean into his son repeatedly. Replays and Highlights only show so much. All 22 tape paints a very different picture all together.

Worst of all?! Daylen Everette was out compounding the issue. Evaluating him as much as possible is critical to if the team will elect to keep Dean or move off of him should his play decline. As it stands, barring something extreme, Dean is going to be here for a while; for better or worse.
