The same can be said about Sean Peyton or Kyle Shanahan. You can't deny they are good at play design, scheme, game plans and so on but another aspect of the team is not comparable. Yes they score 40 points a game but give up 50. Or they are solid offensively and defensively but special teams and turnovers kill them. It also can't be discounted running into the right team at the wrong moment. Like the Saints/ Vikings game where everything pointed to a Saints victory then Diggs catches a pass and the CB makes a mistake , boom done and out. Same for the Steelers, they get Tebowed but we're the better team. Against the Browns a series of gaffes and you are looking at a 14 point deficit before 10 minutes are played. 4th and goal and NOD puts it at Barry Foster's knees and the Chargers win the AFCCG and get smoked by the 9ers in the SB.
