    Steelers veterans aren't performing.
Their backups are just that, backups.

we used to get by with adding role type players with our vets when our vets were still top guys, but since they are in somewhat of a decline adding role type players to them just doesn't have that same type of umph. we need some playmakers to add these role guys to. KC has created quite a void in the system.

I agree, I just don't see it this year. On paper they are better then last year but are still playing terrible. They needed to be at best 6-1 and at worst 5-2 by the time they played the Colts to have a chance. They are 3-3 and will struggle against Houston (What is the most sacks by a single player? JJ Watt might get close to that on Monday night in primetime). Let's just say they win and are 4-3. I just don't see them beating the colts, ravens game can go either way and we always have a hard time beating the titans. So say 2-2 going into the bye at 6-5. The last 5 games in my opinion at best will be 2-3. Always struggle against the Chiefs, Saints could blow our doors off (if we can't cover Cameron there is NO WAY we can stop Graham). I think we take one from the Bengals but the Falcons at home will be a tough win. Think about it we've played against Glennon, Bortles, Hoyer, and Flacco. The last 5 games are against Brees, Smith, Dalton and Ryan!!! Can you even imagine how they are going to pick our defense apart?

So all in all I just don't see a run like last year given the remaining schedule. They will finish at about 8-8 again and miss the playoffs unless Jesus starts playing for them!

I have seen the good and the bad over the years. This team isn't good.
Line up changes? There will be due to injuries. They are what they are, a slow sloppy Offense and a overmatched Defense.
It's amazing they are 3-3! The next 3 games are not cakewalks like most thought Tampa and the Clowns would be.

And to talk playoffs? These next 3 games will dictate and give some concrete answers.

Hope they turn it around, but my Black & Gold glasses are foggy.

Blast were you at the implosion of Three Rivers? That was a sad day as the dust cloud came down...

Sadly no, I was never at that stadium. I live in NY, my friends are Jets and Giants fans, I was never able to coax them into a road trip. It wasn't until 3 years ago that I saw my first Steelers game, which they lost to the Jets

Still had an awesome time, my brother had a company outing, there was about 20 of us, it was a 4:00 game, started tail gating around 10:00, it was a lot of fun, definitely want to go back. I loved the city too, if I wasn't locked into NY, I'd definitely consider moving there.

One funny thing that happened, one of the guys with us was an obnoxious drunk Jets fan, big burly guy, he got tossed out of the stadium and we didn't see him until about 11:00 at night. He was of course wearing Jets gear, and drunk and obnoxious as i said and on foot, so when he was asking for directions to the hotel, locals kept sending him the wrong way, he told us, "yeah, the ****ers kept sending me over the bridges". :lolol:
