Is it just me?

I read about the talents of (insert player here) or cutting (insert player here)...but all I care about is the Steelers winning, week in and week out, playoffs and winning a superbowl...

I really don't get caught up in all the talk and hype....

I think Tomlin said it best..."When I get to work, I walk by 5 (now 6) Lombardi's trophies, not 5 rushing titles, the issue is winning"

Anyone else feel that way, I am just as content blasting 41-0 against the clowns, as I am winning 2-0 on a defensive game.

 

At the end of ths day it is about winning but there is nothing wrong with talking about individual players, offense/defense/special teams or coaches.

 

It's not just you... but I'm not sure what your point is.

 

I was kind of confused too but I think my reply was on the right track.

 

The goal is to win the Superbowl. But it's fun to talk about the route to get there. Kind of like driving from Pittsburgh to LA. LA might be the goal but lots to do in between.

I guess the question is why are you on a message board if you don't care about talking about the game?

 

Lets say the Steelers are winning 28-0 against a division rival with 5 minutes left in the fourth qtr. Suddenly the OC has a brain freeze and decides to throw the ball all over the place on every possession resulting in 4 INT'S all for TD's and a 2 point conversion leading to a 29-28 loss as time expires.

You don't want to hold anyone accountable?

 

I guess the whole point was I want to win, by any means necessary.

I joined the board because I like to keep up with the team, but just see alot of "fire this guy" or "do this" "run more" pass more, etc.....

I just want to win.

maybe it didn't make sense I don't care about the politics or play calling, I just want to win.

 

All those things factor into winning a game or winnin the SB or just having a winning team.
