First of all Ben is not an "elite" QB so get that dumb thought out of your head. He is too inconsistent, next case. At this point in time Eli is better than Ben.

You mean the same Eli who had a league high 25 picks last year?

Eli has 1,000 more yards and 20 more Touchdowns.
Eli has over 600 more attempts.

Ben most attempts for a season is 513, so that's a whole season + 3 Games
If they had the same amount of attempts, Ben would prolly have more than 3,700 yards and a handful more Touchdowns than Eli.

Ben Career QB Rating = 92
Eli Career QB Rating = 82

    Ben Completion % = 63
    Eli Completion % = 58

    Ben INTS = 100
    Eli INTs = 129

    Ben Rushing TD's = 14
    Eli Rushing TD's = 4

Ben also has 13 less fumbles even though he has been sacked 314 times compared to Eli's 194

I would take Ben any day over Eli.

    Great effing post!

Those are great comparable career stats. But, this year Eli was better. Granted Ben was very hobbled on a one ankle...

This year, yes I admit Eli was better but I took the topic as being cumulative.

Too inconsistent? Completion% has been below 60% ONE YEAR his entire career (and that year it was 59.9%) Other than 2006 and 2008, he has had QB rating between 95.6 and 104.1. Remove 2006 and 2010 and his INTs have been about the same every year (2006 was way high with 23, 2010 he only had 5. Every other year between 9 and 12) He consistently throws for over 3,000 yards and 2 of the last 3 years for over 4,000. This is while going through how many different sets of receivers? Should we talk about the number of come back wins in the fourth quarter or game wining drives he has?
Eli had a better season this year. What about last year when he had 25 picks and a Qb rating of 85.3 to Ben's 5 picks and a rating of 97.0? Maybe 2 years ago when Eli had 14 picks to Ben's 12 or his QB rating of 93.1 to Ben's 100.5? Let's see how they look when their careers are over, but as of right now I still would take Ben over Eli. When healthy he is more mobile, more accurate, and just as tough a competitor.
