Sports have always fostered hypocrisy and always will. There are double standards in all sports.

Seems like a strange distinction to want to make. His body of work is great. He's one of the most all around successful quarterbacks of all time.

This is awesomely true. The irony is ironically ironic.

He is and I agree. But I'm just saying that for the sake of the "if you had to win one game" thing. With all that he has accomplished just in that game I would take him over any of these other guys that people think are better. He has ice water in his veins and I don't think that's something that can be coached. It's just "there".

and yeah I really do think. Tell me if you consider this hypocrisy? We dog on Flacco constantly. BUT when we get in a pinch we'll say "well he can throw the deep ball really good". BUT we will also say "he only throws it up and tries to draw a flag". We will also say "dinking and dunking doesn't take all that much skill" THEN we will say "I wish Ben would just get rid of the dang ball and take what the defense gives him". That's just the ways sports work. The same phenomenon works in politics. People generally hate politicians but the same politicians keep getting elected. It is like a subconscious way of saying "YOUR" politician is crooked by "MY" politician is good. We do it in football as well.

I think most posters on these boards have been accurate and objective when discussing Ben. He's very good, can make some amazing plays, but is not the sole reason the Steelers won two titles. He was the difference, however, for the Steelers in the 2005 playoff run: he provided better QB play than Cowher ever had.

That second one is one of the funniest things on the internet. There is also a picture of him doing a charity bike ride and he has on one of those ridiculous helmets and it's really funny too. He looks like a huge dork. You should see the video of peyton dancing to Rocky Top. It's just proof that white people can't dance.

I know, right? I think it means that Brady is a pretty dang good quarterback unless I just totally misinterpreted the data. It may even indicate that you could consider him the best of all time.

    I'm not sure though. ;)

    Maybe it means he's bad.

    Hard to tell really.

For the best ever. I put it between him and Montana and have for a while. I have a sentimental weakness for Joe but looking objectively and overall would probably favor Brady.

or coax a penalty flag if the guy touched him. that would be my guess. he's definitely not going to try and make the tackle and you know how they love to throw flags when tom tom wants them.:smiley1::cool:

One thing about Brady and peyton is they do all they can to avoid contact. Ben would try and level the guy. Brett Favre would too. Most qbs wouldn't though.

He was trying to draw the blocker so 81 could make the tackle! :lolol:

Montana won 4 Super Bowls and never threw a int in them, Brady lost to a average Giants team twice.

I hopped out of this one back on page 4 or something. I don't have it in me to read it. Too depressing. Someday deep into the offseason, I might bring this one back. Don't kill me.
