The way I see it, we tried to make Ben a different QB than what he is used to. Ben isn't a prototypical QB, much like Favre wasn't. GB tried to change Favre several times and failed, eventually letting him go. With Ben, do we just say f it and let him do what he does or do we continue to try to change him?

Once Ben's shoulder heals up he'll start producing the way he was in the first half of the season, he can run Haleys system, the question is does he want to.

Agreed. He proved he can play the position like it's meant to be played. Take away the drops and fumbles by his WR's and his stats would be that much better. Injury or not, Ben lost focus during the season and things unravelled. He needs to understand that not only is this the best system for his health and for him to have a long career, it's also what the Rooney's asked for, and they are the owners.

Yeah...and if our O-line can be relatively healthy and actually produce some kind of running game threat, we will have a much better season!

Could Be, both throw boneheaded passes. Just a quick question?
Do you think Ben has improved since he got here?

I thought Ben looked great until he was injured. What I think is that, while I appreciate his warrior attitude, I would have appreciated him learning to let himself take more time to heal way back when he first started!

Hi. Ben is as good as he ever is going to be. Injuries, dropped passes or the baby was up all night, whatever excuse you want to use, he is not, next year, in his tenth season going to become a Tom Brady all of a sudden. Is his play going to be good enough for the Steelers to make a serious super bowl run? Probably not. He'll get us 10 wins but playoff wins will dry up. That window has closed. I am glad we got him when we did and he did lead the way for us to get two rings. I just don't think he is dedicated enough to take his game to the next level. I admit, I can't read his mind or know for sure how bad his injuries have effected his game but neither can anyone else on this board. This is just my opinion from watching 40 years of nfl football.

Agree but I don't think another SB run is out of the question if we can get ourselves a frkn RB and playmaker or two on D
