I think Simpson is sort of like what we already had in Bush. Great athlete but lacks instincts and as a result production. Sanders I like but from what I have heard he is pretty green and he lacks a lot in the coverage department. He may just be a higher pedigree version of Spillane.

Even if they get a FA ILB I still think you take Jack with one of your second round picks if he is there.

We don’t have Spillane. Robinson is extramely raw and Jack I doubt will be retained if we go out and get Edwards. Plus if Cambell is there in second how do you not take him over Robinson or any of the other ILB’s we currently have. That could literally solidfy the position for years.

I am betting Jack and Spillane will be back. Robinson will hit anything that moves,
He will be ready for some playing time this year.

Well I am hoping that if We sign Edwards that we cut Jack because I was not that impressed with him especially for the money we are spending on him.

I here you but the Steelers don’t empty bug NT’s anymore in this scheme. Plus we ask our DL to be gap penetrators not gap contain so inherently the means a guard is free to go get the ILB. With the advent of the RPO and the spread offenses and all of the rules that favor offenses it is hard to justify spending a lot of money on the ILB position unless they are superstars. I would rather spend that money on edge, DL and CB to be honest. I can’t see the Steelers carrying to large contracts on the inside. I feel like Jacks play has been slipping for a couple of years. He was very average with little to no splash plays. Unless he takes a pay cut I say there are better options out there.

I'm not a fan of taking any in the first. Campbell is the best pure MLB, unless someone reaches in the first, I say we wait and take him in the 2nd. Preferably at 49 as I wanted before he went and showed out. Theres Simpson, Campbell and Sanders, all great 2nd round options. We should take one of them. They are all different and bring different qualities. Overall, Campbell is who I like the best.

But I also love Ivan Pace in the 4th Rd.

They could bring Hargrave back. Weidl is the one that brought him over to the Eagles. I have a feeling this will happen.

Turn that frown upside down! ;)

We neeeeeeeeed help at ILB. We've needed it since we've lost Shazier.

I don’t think they would spend the monty and I heard Hargrave didn’t like the way he was utilized here. I don’t think that is going to happen. With the way our defense is constructed an ILB like Campbell is really what we need. Big enough to handle Guards and athletic enough to cover the middle of the field.

I don’t want Simpson in any round. He is the same thing as Bush. An athlete without a a real position. He lacks instincts and production. Plus he had was surrounded by talent and still didn’t produce like you would think with that athletic ability.

If he’s asking for the moon then obviously it won’t happen but his contract shouldn’t be that big this time around. The Steelers never wanted to let him get away they just had too many others to sign. He’s a good player to have because he plays both positions, he filled in for Tuitt quite a bit. He’d be a significant upgrade.

Him and Bud are two players they should be looking at in FA.

Address ILB in the draft. It’s been a weak spot since losing Shaizer, need a long term answer there.

The draft is pretty weak at ILB. It would be great to Campbell but I wouldn’t bank on it. I would still go get one in free agency. Free Agency is loaded with ILB talent. I would love Hargraves but he is 30 years old and I do think he is gong to get a big payday. The Steelers want to get younger at that position and draft a top tier talent that can be groomed by Heyward. I really feel Bresee is going to be our pick at 17. Probably a CB at 32 and OL at 49 so we will probably miss out on Campbell.

I hope someone takes Bresee before #17 and removes him as an option. I know he has great size, speed and strength but his results on the field haven't matched his physical ability.

Well, the rumor is that Tomlin likes Bresee. That plus the fact our new AGM Wiedl loves drafting linemen in the 1st I can totally see us going the Bresee route.

After the combine, I've been doing mockdrafts and reizws the only way I like the drafts is if I go.

OL- Depending on the site it's (Broderick Jones or O'cyrus Torrence)
DL (Mazi Smith almost all the time)
    LB (Campbell or Sanders)
    CB Julius Brentz/ Darius Rush)
    CB/S ( Reilly/ Bennett/ Kyu Blu Kelly etc)
Potential developmental edge in the 7th
And if Bennett or Dugans is there scoop em.up with the last pick.

I’m no sure Cambell gets past the Pats* in the first round.

He seems to be a player Belicheat would savor.

We'll get him at 49. Pats need an OL, CB, and WR before they consider a LB.

    He'll be there at 49.

I don't see Hargrave returning to the Steelers, he made 13 million a year on his last contract, this is his last chance to get paid as a free agent and I doubt he's taking a pay cut.

too much money. The Steelers don't have the cap space to sign him. He'll get a huge contract from someone
