It's been awhile since we've seen the Ben that made 4th quarter comebacks a regular occurrence.

When I read the ESPN article this morning, I didn't think anything of it. The author said, "Five of Roethlisberger’s votes came from teammates, a sign of how much his play at the end of close games is valued in the Steelers’ locker room." Though, I agree with your reasoning...if it was valued, I think the majority of your teammates would vote your way.

Not to be persnickety, but I don't think it's safe to assume they polled exactly 10 players from each team. A different ESPN article I read said they polled 'over 320 anonymous players'.

I just love the fact that the article refers to Ben as elite. People can say what they want but Ben is the only guy on that list with a Super Bowl winning, SIXTH I might add, td pass. Well manning had a Super Bowl winning td pass but it just happened to be to the OTHER team.

Thank you darcrav. Not my intention though. I just thought the votes would be higher, especially among his own teammates.

I question the legitimacy and seriousness of those polled when 2 votes were for McGloin.

Wouldn't read too much into this.

I think the top 2 are probably accurate although i might would switch their order around and then I think Ben is third ahead ofboth Brees and Rodgers

Sorry, Jim...that wasn't my intention. I should have known though, because dropping persnickety in a conversation has been known to drive the ladies wild. Never knew it worked on dudes, though. I'll have to be more cautious in the future. Thanks for the heads up.

I don't see 5 of his teammates not voting for him as a bad thing. I mean, the guy was voted 5th best person in the world when the game is on the line. That's a massive compliment. I'd love to be 5th best at anything.

But Ben hasn't made a game winning comeback in quite a few years now, so I'm sure that's why he lost some votes. He needs to get back to doing that

Read it again BFT. Its a knock on Flacco... "If nothing else, the elite of the division quarterbacks still rests in Pittsburgh."

7 is elite as compaired to Flacco, Dalton and who ever the Browns put under center.

    With that I will agree!!

Oh. I see what you're saying. I also would take Ben over any of those bums any day of the week though. It's like Pittsburgh Dad said when we played the Rats with Batch under center when he was saying that people thought we were disadvantaged with a 3rd string qb and he said "the Ravens always have a 3rd string qb!" LOL! I love that!
