Interesting stats for the steelers offense in the second half of 2022...

I don't understand how anyone cannot be optimistic after the performance of the team in the last 9 games last season. I know it wasn't perfect and Canada left much to be desired, but Kenny got some things done in big moments and the offense kept putting together quality drives. They need to continue to improve on things last year, plus take positive steps to make the offense more dynamic and finish more drives with touchdowns.

It is dependent on some positive things happening, but it is totally doable. There is a good chance the offense takes a big, big step forward and scores a lot more points.

 

There in lies part of the problem.


Kenny really is not so much the issue here. Canada is and given the fact he is the OC, how well this Offense will perform will come down to two parts; the entire Offense (Kenny included) being the first and Canada being the second. Should Canada still fail to perform given how many additions Kahn and Weidl have given Canada, expect Glenn Thomas to be heard of in a rumor at some point late in the season pertaining to Offensive Play Calling.



Put up or shut up time for Canada.

As long as it's on time to the sidelines He will be fine. Joe Montana had a very weak arm. So did Drew Brees. P. Manning didn't really have a cannon at all. Neither was Bradys, but everyone of them read the field well, and threw on time.
This is not saying KFP will, but I believe He can.

 

It lists all 32 teams and 3 teams that made the playoffs last season do not have an asterix. That was my initial thought. If so, then it's not accurate.

Got it. I didn't even realize it was from 2 different years until you pointed that out. I just thought it posted twice.

8 of the top10 teams at avoiding 3rd down made the playoffs both yrs.
In 2021 10 of 15
In 2022 9 of 15

I would say that is a very strong correlation. Glad to see the Steelers improved from 2021 to 2022 in that stat.
