I agree with you 100%. It is really rare to find someone who does.

Ben already has 1 Probowl WR and 1 Probowl TE to throw to. Bell has shown to be an excellent option at well. So right there are 3 very good options for Ben in any formation. Cotchery should be back and has been a great target as well.

Ben already has one of the best groups of receivers to throw to in the NFL. All the "tall receiver" talk from 07-08 persists to this day. This offense is FINALLY geared to run the ball and control and win games (just like SEA and SF do) and people still want to emulate the Saints or Lions.

LT is a glaring need. Gilbert is terrible and Adams has struggled. If the Steelers could get a LT they consider a franchise tackle they need to grab him. Steelers have a history of parting ways with their top receivers anyways. Marvel Smith played for the Steelers longer than Holmes and Wallace combined.

If the Steelers draft a great LT they will have the one of the best OL in the NFL for years. If the Steelers draft a WR they will get 3 years of production before he leaves for another team... if they're lucky.

I agree that you have to look at both sides of the coin. I thin kits well known what Evans' flaws are. He doesn't run routes like Marqise Lee. He isn't a blazer like Watkins. He isn't an overall elite athlete.

But to have Evans ranked as a 4th round prospect just confuses me. The author either has an incredible intuition that Evans will be a bust or he really isn't doing his homework.

Evans is 6'5 230. He isn't a fit for every offensive scheme either. But I do believe he is perfect for what we do in Pittsburgh. I'm not sure why he was being compared to Cordarelle Patterson in that article because the two are nothing alike.

The thing they had in common according to the author was that they both have route running issues, but Patterson is an athletic freak who can run pdq.

I agree, it's not a very good argument against Evans.
