Russell Wilson did practice today but was limited. I hope he plays against the Donkos. He probably has quite a boner against them, and their head coach especially.

I would not want to miss a revenge game.

you put the guys on the field that are playing the best. Draft position means squat if you are being outplayed. We haven't seen enough of troy yet to just throw him in there. We have seen Jones struggle this year at times.

I assume he is including the preseason. Jones had one horrible exhibition game, but he wasn't bad against the Falcons.

To be honest, probably not. A good game isn't going to stop the fact that he isn't under contract with us past this year and we drafted OT in the first round of the last two drafts.... Once they make the move to Jones at LT and Fautanu at RT, then Moore's time starting in Pittsburgh is over for good. It might not be this week, but once it happens Moore is only back in as a starter if someone gets injured.

 

We drafted two OT's because we felt like starting Moore at LT didn't give us the best opportunity to win. Its awesome that Moore graded out as the 3rd best in pass protection last week, but its just one week. The same PFF grading metrics graded Moore as a roster replaceable player, which is below back up caliber, for his play in 2023. The second we decide Fautanu is ready to play, Dan Moore is a back up. That is the reality of the situation.

 

No. Once Fautanu takes over at RT and Jones goes to LT, that is all she wrote for Moore as a starting tackle in Pittsburgh. Either Jones or Fautanu would have to be terrible on Sundays for a long stretch of time to bench either of them for Moore.

 

I noticed that PFF credited Jones with giving up 2 sacks, but they are wrong. The first one was Daniels' guy and the second one was on Fields, but it was actually Jones' guy that got the sack.

Overall, Jones (and largely the OL as a whole) played a pretty fine game. There's still room to grow (and I expect that they will), but for all the doom and gloom that was spewed about our OL in the preseason they went out on Sunday and had a fine performance. Frazier already looks like the real deal.

 

Pretty Fake Football is not a good source.

 

They have a place, but aren't the end all/be all for sure. Their metrics are always going to be a bit off since it is hard to measure the value of a player based solely on numbers, or perceived "points" that they look to make.

Hope to see the OL continue to improve, because I thought they looked pretty solid overall.

What if we play both QBs? Maybe even design some plays where both are in at the same time. Opponents may have a tough time game planning for that

So with full practice that should mean Roman Wilson plays....well it usually does.
