It could very well be the difference in the game, but that is only because they Steelers have left themselves so weak at the position.

If Pickens is out it’s an opportunity for someone to step up.

It is just crazy this year how many players are getting injured on Friday. Their not even in pads on Friday.

Steelers releasing defensive tackle Domenique Davis. Could free agent Siaka Iaka be returning to Pittsburgh after his visit with the Steelers?

Damn if Pickens is out our passing offense will likely go to hell in a handbasket. Imagine getting swept by Cleveland when we have a chance at a division title

The Steelers haven't been swept by the Browns since 1988, a sweep this year would show that the Steelers although a decent team wouldn't be anywhere near being a Superbowl contender. If Pickens can't go on Sunday then the Steelers are in trouble.

Our receivers after Pickens are not garbage like some seem to think...I mean, Wilson has 271 yards per game after 6 games, second in the league and it's not like the steelers throw 40 times per game to have this numbers

Calvin Austin is improving, so unless the steelers were looking for someone elite like Aiyuk, not many other options would have helped the steelers a lot...

Is that great? No but a dumpster fire, no too...I still think Mike Williams could help us, Tomlin just wait for one of our WRs to struggle big time before increasing his snaps...It'll come

We could be missing Austin and Pickens on Sunday. Concussion and hamstring. If so, we are going to get a chance to see a lot of other receivers in action.

Well, we were looking for someone like Aiyuk. We also were in discussions for Cooper Kupp and Davante Adams when they were available.... It is very obvious that the FO thinks this team need another big time option

Austin has turned into a decent little threat. He has pretty good hands, really good speed, and can win deep and after the catch. He is more of a big play guy though. He's averaging less than 2 receptions a game and won't be winning any contested balls or be a guy that will consistently move the chains. He is still far from a reliable #2 option. Wilson never really got to play because of injury, but every other WR is easily replaceable. Next year Pickens/Austin/Wilson/Skowronek seems like where I want to start. I'd either take a run at a FA/trade WR or draft one early. This offense NEEDS a real #2 to be what it wants to be consistently. We can't just be a Pickens injury away from being screwed.

My point is yes the steelers wanted an impact player at that position but some wanted to sign a player like Tyler Boyd who wouldn't have been much better than what the steelers have right now...You can't predict injuries like Roman Wilson too and almost every team will suffer if they lose their best player on a unit

Van Jefferson as a 2 is as weak as it comes in the NFL. Austin is proving to be a decent slot 3 guy. This team is very limited after GP.

I consider Austin as our number 2 right now and our group of tight end after that. This is possible Williams contribute at some point too

Austin is our #2 but he’s a prototypical slot #3 in a good passing offense. It’s only because Van J sucks so bad he defaults to the 2. The TEs need to be more consistent but I agree those are the next options. M Williams has 1 catch in 4 games I won’t hold my breath.

We all know the last time the steelers won a playoffs game,it was in the 2016 season.....That year they make the AFC title game despite the receiver core(after AB) and TE were complete trash....I mean look at the supporting cast that AB had,it was just brutal....This year, the TD group and WR core after their number 1 is much better....Cody Hamilton was our second outside WR in 2016 who was out of the league 1-2 years after with Jesse James and some trash after that at the TE position :roflmao:

True we had also Bell, who was also huge but on defense,I prefer our current defense....
