Sounds like Dionte is not practicing because of his shoulder. Gotta love these Pre Season Games. Hopefully TJ will be good to go Sunday I believe I heard some reports saying he could have kept playing.

Tomlin said they both would have kept playing if it had been a regular-season game, so it wasn't some anonymous report. I wouldn't count Johnson out for Sunday just yet, either.

Any ideas on what Derek Watt is doing? Is he officially injured, or just not playing?

When is the 1st Injury report released for week 1?

In keeping with the running over clarification theme (recognized by thousands and tons), this thread needs to be edited to read:"TS Injury Updates". You're welcome. As you were.

I think it is Wednesday, though we may get some clarity from Tomlin's press conference tomorrow.

He's on IR so can't practice until October 3 at the earliest.

Complete waste of a pick dude is like 5 5 120 pounds soaking wet. Couldn’t even make it through training camp.

If he can’t stay healthy sure but talent wise, they have something in him.

I believe Tomlin will give the update today. I think Highsmith was back at practice recently and as I mentioned earlier TJ was supposedly OK. Dionte could be in trouble especially if he doesn’t practice today or tomorrow if they are off today.

I do like our 2 back up OLBers but hope to see Highsmith. Johnson is a concern but if he can't go Gunner probably will replace him who has been a nice surprise.

I am thinking Boykin, leave Gunner handle punt returns.

I was hoping for him to turn into another Emanuel Sanders, might be wishful thinking?

I think if his diminutive stature can withstand the punishment of the NFL he will definitely be productive for the Steelers.

People were saying the Steelers wasted a 2nd round pick in 1974. That kid out of Kent state was way too small for an NFL LB, but Jack Lambert did ok.

Archer's primary problem wasn't that he couldn't stay healthy. It was that he sucked. He wasn't a receiver. He was a running back and not a good one.

Austin is a legitimate receiver. Maybe he is too small to take the punishment of the NFL, but really, a foot injury has very little to do with a player's size. Most of the negative stuff about him on this board comes off as people demonstrating how little they know about him or the player to him they compare him.

Please explain how being undersized contributes to a foot injury. I will give you a hint. It doesn't. He may turn out to be a poor pick, but in this instance, you simply do not know what you are talking about.

Ever hear the saying the best ability is availability? I don’t care how or why he got hurt the bottom line is he couldn’t even make it through the rigors of training camp. He doesn’t have an NFL body.

DJ didn't either. he even sat out a lot of training camp. neither did kazee, miller, joseph, mcnichols, or patel. are they all too small and don't have NFL bodies?

A foot injury does not support your claim. Either you have no clue about how injuries happen or you are willfully ignoring the facts that don't fit your poorly-reasoned claim. You don't care how or why he got hurt because it doesn't fit your chosen narrative.

Sticking our fingers in your ears and deafly repeating the same nonsense does not make it true.
