Was McCrane the kicker who had a friend/relative/self talking him up on the message board?

Hmmm.... I vaguely remember that, but can’t remember if it was McCrane.

For the fans? I don't think we see many fg attempts. If the new guy isn't up to snuff, fantasy players will see their guy get bonus points with the 2 pt. conversion.

Snell caught a pass for decent yardage last game. That is what worried me about Benny filling in.

Good luck to the Steelers tonight! The Steeler organization is a great organization and wish you all the best! Yes, two years ago I was a father just trying to defend his son and put his stats out there so fans would know the situations.

Injuries chipping away at season. I'm in a depressed frame of mind over it and think this wonderful start is about to come crashing down.

I certainly find the injuries frustrating. I would have loved to see what this team would have done with full seasons from Bush and Dupree. I would certainly be more confident in their ability to take the top spot in the AFC and actually win the Super Bowl with those guys.

The pass rush should still be effective today. Washington does not protect the quarterback well and the team still has pass rushers with Watt, Heyward, and Tuitt. My biggest concern this evening and going forward is Boswell. I certainly don't trust Wright.

Would have loved to see a healthy Steeler D face off against Mahomes. Not sure we will even get there now. You cannot lose two huge impact guys like Bush and Bud and not see a significant drop off.

Steelers have won many games without Bush & Dupree before, even with less talent on the field surrounding them. Guys like Tuitt, Heyward, Watt, Minkah or Haden going down are season enders. Dupree was close but not as many game changing plays these guys give the Steelers week in week out.

Hawkins activated off Covid list. Not sure if he will play tonight or not.

Connor and Pouncy only two left now and hopefully both are back for Buffalo.

I don’t know I’d put Dupree in the mix with everyone besides TJ honestly. Second in sacks and a very sound run defender on the edge. Maybe not as much splash as a Fitzpatrick but I’d argue his importance is every bit as much.

I don’t think Bush has hurt as bad because honestly although he’s better than what we have he wasn’t killing it as a number 1 pick.

Bud has been killing it for 2 years now. I’m nervous about this D without both for sure.

Connor and Pouncey not back today?

I wonder how bad their symptoms are?

    This.

Hopefully JC can hold down the line. Da'Ron Payne and Johnathan Allen are two 'Bama boys that are very high in pedigree there. Hopefully some familiarity will help JC.

Have you noticed our defense when Tuitt or Heyward isn't in the game? We really didn't miss Dupree tonight imo. We missed someone filling in for Vince in passing coverage. That & Sweat taking advantage of the 2 yard routes.

Did you notice the lack of pressure on Smith? Washington has struggled in pass protection all season, but the Steelers very rarely got pressure when they rushed four. Tuitt's sack late in the first half was a rare exception. Smith had all day on at least two key third downs because Butler tried doing the same stuff that was working when he had four stud pass rushers on the field. Highsmith made a few nice tackles, but if you didn't notice them missing Dupree, I have no idea what game you were watching tonight.

51 and 56 started the game nicely.

Not sure about the second half.

Highsmith was mostly a non-factor in the pass rush. Smith had way too much time to throw.

Dupree leads all weak-side edge rushers in quarterback pressures. Highsmith generated no pressure at all. Your dislike for Dupree is blinding you.
