Steelers depot said he was "flagged" for "covid situation". He will not be playing according to jeremy fowler

Haden out tomorrow and likely the first game. This mess is so stupid.

Next up is contract tracing and this could get really ugly. Hopefully, it won’t affect the playoffs anymore than just Haden.

Haden is enough. They aren't beating the Browns or the Ravens in the playoffs without him. I know he just gave up a long touchdown to the Colts last week, but we've seen that secondary without him in the second half against Washington and the entire game against Buffalo. It was not pretty.

Remember, Nelson missed the WFT game, so Layne was the next man up for Haden because Sutton was already starting for Nelson. Losing Haden is big, but Sutton can hold his own, and is vastly better than Layne. It leaves no margin for error though, and no way to sub for any of our corners without putting Layne or Pierre in the game.

True, but Nelson was back for the Bills, and neither he nor Sutton could even slow Diggs down.

Disappointed with Haden situation mostly for the playoffs, felt he could use the rest. His health is chief concern football second. Hope we can get second playoff game and beyond for him.

With Marsh out, the LB room is really getting thin. Sure hope Spillane makes it back and Highsmith, Williams, and Williamson stay healthy.

The other bad news from Friday’s injury report is that starting strong safety Terrell Edmunds missed practice for a third day in a row with a shoulder injury and has also been ruled out of Sunday’s game.

It will be the first contest Edmunds has missed in his three-year NFL career (47 games, 43 starts). Edmunds has been about as durable as one can be since coming into the league as Pittsburgh’s first-round pick in 2018. In fact, it was just a month ago that Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin described Edmunds’ “best ability” as his availability, a fitting descriptor for a player one analyst views as a good candidate for a hypothetical NFL All-Average Team.

All Average Team. His best ability? His availability. Ringing endorsement there

The loss of Marsh means they may have to keep Highsmith and Adeniyi out there more than they wanted. Scales should see a lot of snaps.

Isn’t Scales more of an ILB? Elliott should get some snaps.

The way this bull**** is going the Super Bowl could be played with practice squad guys as starters or guys who were working at gas stations a month ago.

I kinda wish we’d had a big outbreak back around the WAS/BUF/CIN stretch. Get it out of the way, put renewed emphasis on safety, and be healthy heading into the playoffs.
