Bud now joins Bush as gone for the season. Completely crushing to our D unfortunately. Hopefully Highsmith can step up.

Nelson was getting an MRI yesterday on his knee should have more information today.

Samuels was a projected limited participant yesterday so we will see his practice availability over the next few days.

Tuitt Pouncy Hawkins and Connor all remain on the Covid list. I’d assume Connor and Pouncy will definitely be out not so sure if Tuitt or Hawkins could be back.

Didn't we go through this phase already once in 2020. Everybody liked Snell better after the opener, then Conner reminded everyone why he is the starter with a string of big games. The Steelers need Conner back and they need to start trying harder to establish the running game.

That said, of all the starters currently on the COVID list, he is the one whose absence is the least impactful.

Nelson remained in the game after his injury, so I imagine it isn't serious. Even a minor injury could easily keep him out of Monday's game due to the short week.

    Snell was 16/60 3.8
    That pretty pedestrian
If you factor in he started 6/16 2.7 and there’s not much there

His last ten carries he averaged 4.4 yards a carry, which is decent.

Especially when some of those carries are at the end of the game and we’re trying use up the clock.

He actually ran it very well in the fourth quarter. He also made a couple of nice plays on pass receptions.

Butler sounds optimistic about Tuitt which is great news! Hopefully he is cleared soon.

The 3 games before Connor getting 89 on the crappy Jags,, he only got 36 vs Dallas, 22 vs Bengals and 47 vs Ratbirds,,,he was garbage, You can see that Snell has better vision, when there was nothing inside he would bounce to the outside, Connor just keeps going straight for nothing. Plus the steelers never run well against the Rats, I'd say Snell did pretty good considering.

I'm not sold on Snell as and every down back. He simply doesn't have the quickness to avoid tackles. I like him as a compliment back, but he won't break a long one like Conner can from time to time.

True, we don't run well against the Rats, but they didn't have all their top players in there either bc of Covid or injury. Pittsburgh, as we can see, CHOSE to throw the ball 90% of the time, so we don't know how well we would have done running the ball during the game.

I will say Snell did provide some strong runs, when it was most needed, especially that stiff arm carry. He is the kind of back, like he did at Kentucky, that gets better the more he carries the ball.

But against stronger defensive teams, he can get you good yards at times, but he is not going to make big plays or carry defenders. His first step is just a little too slow, and lacks lateral quickness.

Early on not a good look for Nelson. Have we heard anything about the MRI results?

This is part of how the short week screws the Steelers.

Whew, good thing Samuels is a full participant. The offense can't work without him.

I wonder why they wouldn’t put Sutton outside I think he’s been excellent. I guess they only like him inside like Hilton.

Tuitt was activated from Covid list and should be good to go Monday.

If anyone on the team has proven they can perform at a high level with just a walkthrough it’s him. If I was a betting man I’d say he’s playing.
