yep - the Watt 44 signing being one of his worst ever. We knew Ebron sucked, brick hands. Made some nice plays when we were 11-0, gave Ben someone fun to play with, but we knew he could not block not catch. He got Stafford traded (in a round about way...) - ruined seasons for the Lions and got coaches fired! Tombert has no plan.

With no first round draft pick in 2020, and Loudermilk also this year...I think the opposite

    Scene from Coach T's office:

Not Disgruntled Team Player: Coach, I see that Highsmith is way, way better than me. I can't see that I'm gonna get much playing time. Could you find it in your heart to send me somewhere where I might get more? I'm unfit to carry Alex's shoes. Maybe I can go somewhere where where other OLB aren't as good. Can you do me a big favor?

Coach T: Mel, you've been a great locker room guy and a real leader. I'll see what we can do.

Not Disgruntled Team Player: Thanks Coach. My time here was short. But I'll always treasure my time as a Pittsburgh Steeler.

This trend seriously needs to stop or less and less free agents are going to consider this a destination.

A 6th isn't a huge return, but there obviously wasn't anything better out there and really, I'm not sure you could expect much more... Maybe if a team had some major LB injuries and were desperate. I don't love that we play KC in a few weeks. But, if the situation was becoming or already was toxic, it was the right move.

If you read Ingrams quotes upon signing here, there is absolutely no way to spin this and blame the Steelers.

This is all Ingram, he’s on a one year contract and he’s thinking about his next payday. If it’s even Ingram and not his agent driving this.

Ingram is not in Von Millers class, it was a pipe dream to think they’d get that high a pick for him. He was gone next year, I’ll take the 6th, they need the picks.

I say the Bengals. Steelers usually have at least one high scoring shootout every year.

Look at the roster next year, we're without a QB and razor thin at CB, OT, DL, WR. Bush looking like a bad pick, Edmunds will be gone next year, JuJu and Washington gone next year, they made a half-hearted effort to "win one more with Ben" and are now pulling back from that. They built a team to win 7-9 wins and go nowhere in the playoffs.

Buy hey, get Najee on your fantasy team for his 30 touches/game.

You just described every team, it’s called turnover. Luckily, there is this thing called the draft and free agency to fill these needs.

I might have held on to him simply because I am tired of guys whining their way out of town. You signed the deal now be a ****ing professional, shut your ****ing mouth, and go to work. That said, it is probably best if the Steelers FO does not act like an emotional fan.

Where does what I said indicate conspiracy?

This is a behavior trend of promising free agents playtime to get them to come here and then not giving it to them. You piss off too many and you get a bad rep.

They try to play Mr. Nice Guy way too much though going back to the James Harrison debacle.
