We did lead the league in interceptions. The two guys we lost only had 3 of the 20.

I'm hoping they pick the Saftey or the Major League Baseball player. I like to go against the odds for some reason.

Other than last year and the Eagles astronomical 70 sack season, the Steelers have either led or been tied for the league lead in sacks since 2017. Coincidentally, that's when they drafted Watt. Point is, they haven't had a problem getting to the QB, provided Watt stays healthy. I agree that depth is certainly a need. I just feel that secondary is a bigger one at this time.

The guys we still have here in the secondary had 17 of the 20 interceptions. With the two guys we lost, they had 3. We added a guy that had 5.

As a group they aren't good enough, they could use another slot CB and an outside CB.

I didn't say that but I hear so many saying we don't have anything in the secondary. Or they are not good enough. Not true. We will add to the secondary this year but the cupboard is far from bare.

No sh*t.... What I want the Steelers to do and what I think the Steelers will do are two completely different things.

I have never said the cupboard is bare but I do think it is a bigger area of need than DL, as is OL. Just my opinion. Personally, I think they can strengthen every one of these areas in this draft if they are creative enough and don't reach.

with the new addition on the DL, they have numbers and they have experience. watt being added and fehoko being added will help. wren, marshall, loudermilk, leal, ogunjobi, heyward, watt, fehoko, adams now in the building. they have added at all 3 levels of the defense this offseason and the interior of the OL and a swing tackle. they are leaving options open. anthony mcfarland and master teague as backup RB's. gentry for one year at TE. heyward at FB looks covered but he can also cover 3rd TE in a pinch or RB 3. we have added at LB, safety/LB.

possibly WR, TE, outside corner and maybe a slot as well and S and OT, OLB. looks like these are in play.

This is like saying J. Winston had a great year the year He went 33td, and 30 ints. It doesn't matter if You have 10 ints as a player if You as a player give up 20 tds.

maybe we grab the OT and then him at 32.

We need a S for the future. more nickle / dime hybrid packages, could be a nice addition.

    Gotta have OT.
    Can use a CB....
Probably the only two positions where I want to hear 1 called at #17.

IDK if it was on Patrick or Cowherd today, but someone was saying they talked to several NFL execs and the thought was they really do not know if any WR really stand out as 1st round grades. I really do not know, just saying 'the talk'. Someone gets picked and it may start a run, or perhaps this is a year other positions get a longer look. I do think WR has been pushed a lot, but this years FA signings really show the difference between what is considered high end talent, vs a good serviceable receiver. There are a few of the first, and quite a few of the latter.

I could see Detroit taking Gonzalez at #6, they just traded their former top 5 pick at CB Jeff Okudah.
