I know but ever since Heyward was drafted Tomlin/GM goes to the first round pick pro day.

 

If all the best ILBs and cornerbacks are gone, they should go for someone with De or La in his first name, or the player with the most unnecessary apostrophes. Those guys are usually pretty good.
A player with a De or La AND several apostrophes is probably destined for a hall of fame career.

For those of you complaining that Khan/Tomlin weren't there, the ONLY head coach at Oregon's pro day was from Chicago, and no GMs were at either Oregon State's or Oregon's pro day.

I’m perfectly fine with JPJ, Frazier, or Van Pran.

Hell, go back to Terrell Edmunds Pro Day. Colbert and Tomlin were there then as well.

 

Powers-Johnson and Frazier are true centers. Van Pran might not even be a second-round guy. Barton is ahead of him, but he mostly played left tackle in college and we've seen how projections like that can go sideways with Green.

 

Young players are going to make mistakes, the majority of
the people on this board feel these young players should be of
HOF caliber right out of the gate. It usually does not happen this way.
Remember people majority of the players Draftee's face in college
will be getting on with their life's work after college. In NFL they can
all play.

 

I keep seeing Mims, OT Georgia in mock drafts.

 

If I had to guess, we are pointed in a few possible directions

1. OL - C and T are needs and there will be a guy at our pick at both positions that would be worth the selection
2. WR - with DJ gone and no FA added yet, this is likely our biggest position of need at the current moment. I am leaning towards this being our selection. Outside shot of seeing a huge trade up for Odunze. There's traction there.

My opinion here will change as other people are added in FA, but I see the first 3 rounds going like this:

1. WR
2. C
3. Slot CB

 

Need to ask- is Jackson a slot or a boundary corner? I know he has speed, but I thought he was a slot.

 

He's played outside in his NFL career. Maybe he could play both, but his history is outside
