If Allar is at Ohio State, they probably lose another close game or two because of his penchant for making killer mistakes and poor mechanics.

If Drew Allar doesn’t get injured he’s a first round pick this year

    Right or wrong

It's their fault when Penn State had to play good competition their receivers couldn't get open.

Given that his numbers declined even against the easy part of the schedule, Allar was already playing himself out of the first round when he got hurt.

Allar had a low turnover percentage in his career .

He missed open receivers, made key mistakes, and showed that tendency to look at the rush instead of keeping his eyes downfield. Those are his flaws, not the receivers.

When Howard won the championship he had Egbuka, Tate, and Smith at WR, all three will end up being first round picks .

Name one receiver from those teams in the NFL, even one of Penn State former coaches said Allar was being used in the wrong offense.

Really, you think Aaron Rodgers plays all 17 games this year?

I would say the chances that a 42/43 year old Aaron Rodgers plays all 17 games this year is 15%.

And you guys said the same thing last year and Rodgers ended up playing 16 games.

If he comes back it’s not with the intention of him playing all 17 games unless both Allar and Howard are flops

So what percentage do you give Rodgers for Starting all 17 games this year? Last year there were 63 starting QBs, you don't think Allar or Howard will be one in 2026?

This was the posters quote "we will be lucky if either of them starts a regular season NFL game this year"

I thought this was completely unrealistic assumption that neither Allar nor Howard is going to start a single game this year for Pittsburgh. With Rodgers back, I have Mason out of Town when the season starts.

Should poor throws to open receivers not count if the receiver isn't NFL?

Howard stepped up while Allar was injured. That is my point. How clutch would we consider Howard if he never finished the season snd was denied his post season run?.

BTW, quite the assumption that pro Penn State bias is the only reason someone might wonder if he is the better player.

Me? Never lived east of the Rockies. I don't care about Penn State.

I live in Boise and watched Brett Rypen OWN Josh Allen in college. Rypen was more accurate, appeared more clutch, and was the bigger winner. Rypen was also a more developed college QB. I did not understand the Allen hype. Allen was considered raw but had elite tools. But he was the much better pro QB.

THIS is the source of my though that Allar "might" be better than he looked like in college.

Man, some of y'all will twist yourselves into some serious knots trying to excuse Allar's flaws. Allar had opportunities to step up when it mattered in his career. He failed.
