I most certainly would not waste this season starting Howard or Allar game one this season or worse yet rotating them like one of the video game kids suggested

But if either of them this season gets to the point where they show “maybe they have it” I would be ok with going with one or the other in 2027

Rodgers is serving a very useful function this year and critics aside he’s already showing it

    Then retirement next year

I am not having a hard time with people complaining about Allar's mechanics for that is the major deficiency that people harp on without realizing one major aspect. Fundamentals can be fixed; inherent talent cannot. People are equivocating coaching potential vs. coaching mechanics. Two completely different things.

Overall, we need to see how Allar develops. Among the staff that Mike McCarthy kept, Tom Arth was a major one on my wish list for he is one of the most underrated QB Coaches in all of Football. Keeping him will give Allar a greater resource in terms of his development. Again, all up to Allar but he does have the right attitude to do so.

This shouldn't be breaking news imo.

Peyton stayed until he was ready. Eli did the same. Arch is likely to follow the same path.

For me, I have said it in my Top 32 Pre Training Camp Big Board and will again, Arch Manning is a 2nd Round QB at this moment at best. Far too unorganized and far too moody in terms of controlling his emotions during the game; two critical qualities if one wants to be a Franchise Caliber QB.

The Footwork Travesty nonsense from the likes of Dov Kleiman, JPAFootball, MLFootball and other X hacks should be used for comedic purpose and that alone. Given how none of these accounts are honest and/or ethical with their reporting, take what they say with the tiniest grain of salt. JT O'Sullivan and Kurt Warner are far superior scouts as far as the position goes.

Not a guaranteed "this is who QB A will turn out" but they are among the most consistent overall.

I've never liked Sark. Never thought much of him either. This goes way back for me.

So personally I think it's a mistake for Arch to play there under him. If I were advising the family on that I would have recommended Bama playing under DeBoer. Sark would have been very low on my list.

Though that aside the quality of the sororities at Texas is second to none. :hehehe:

The detriments of not properly preparing young players. This isn't just a Penn State based issue but a College Football one at large. More often than not, star level athletes are failed more often by their coaching than their own devices. Again, this isn't to say that the players are blameless here. That said, three critical factors play into a young players development.

1.) The Quality of the Program Overall. Massive Difference between something like the University of Toledo vs the University of Florida in terms of equipment and facilities.

2.) The Quality of the Coaching Staff. Should be obvious at a glance but this is severely under looked, underappreciated and therefore, often forgotten in my opinion. Truth be told, in my view, this is what determines the players "floor".

3.) The Quality of the Athlete. This attribute determines the "Ceiling." How much talent and potential a player possesses plays a major factor here.

Daylen Everette is another example here. Georgia has some of the best facilities and equipment in all of College Football to go along with some of the best DB Coaches in all of College Football as well. His athletic ceiling is also comically high. Now, this does sound like a surefire Top 10 pick right?! Well.. there in lies the critical aspect. Not to say Everette was bad but his 2024 tape far exceeded his 2025 tape. I contribute this due to a lack of overall consistency.

I still believe their is a starting level CB in Everette; a steal in Round 3 as those types are difficult to find after the first 60 or so picks. That said, it is all up to him.

Something would have to go very wrong for either of them to see the field this season, even if they were showing really well in practice, I dont see Rodgers getting benched, only injury will lead to one of them starting this year.

Next year, dont think there is any doubt one of them will be the starter.
