There is so much BS being thrown out there I guess we will just have to wait and see. Bottom line for me, this is just a corporate (ESPN/Disney) driven product. The reports of a 70 lteam 'league' will likely come to fruition in time, the true work will be in how they get a handle on NIL, transfer portal, and if the young players vote to Union. That last thing may be a blessing to the uni's. Every player will get a minimum, and those players will be under contract (employees) for at least that year. IDK the financial/civil/legal things that could be done if a player quits/opts out of a game/games, but if you signed a contract it could cost you if the Uni claims damages from you not fulfilling. I guess more mess to deal with as it goes on, lol.

Just found out today our top cb sat out the 2 half of bowl game on his own without pre warning coaches!
Now, since these young adults are getting paid NIL money, this isn’t fair to the fans who are now paying their salaries. Agreed?
They need to clean this mess up

I said 'employees" in the last post, simply because it is a term that has been used on several different radio shows if indeed the players form a union. Yes NFL players sit out, but under contract they can be fined. How NIL works into this is yet to be determined, but yes if you are paid for his season, and a meaningless bowl game is still a part of the season, then you are being.have been paid to play. I get the injury risk, but there needs to be definition and expectation into what a contract says. If I was considered a guy who could go 4th round or higher I would probably opt out of a meaningless game myself to be honest, if it was the playoffs the opportunity to boost my stock may be worth the risk, lol. Don't even get me started on loyalty to school, etc. These guys are now a one year rental, there is no loyalty to tradition.
