all this knee jerk reaction has had a chance to settle down , maybe then people will come to realize we had this game in the bag until players started fumbling and throwing ints .... Blame Haley all ya like simply put ...he was not on the field making mistakes !!!

The game would have been over in regulation if brown does not fumble , I would say that was a pretty dam good job of coaching from our entire staff today , we should have been blown out considering our def backfield situation yet we where in the game after being down 10-zip and had a 7 point lead and the football with what would have been tremendous field position and in range of another score to go up by at least 10 late in the forth Quarter ( GAME OVER ) but Brown puts it on the ground and the tide turned ....

want to lay blame look no further than Antonio Brown it starts and stops with him ......

Agreed. It's time to stop only blaming Mike Wallace as there is no way you can convince me that Antonio Brown is living up to his $42 million dollar contract.

I'm a Wallace hater, and I don't think this game was his fault by a long shot. I don't think anybody else is claiming that either.

Brown, whom I've been a big supporter of, played awful tonight and probably cost the game more than any other 1 single person (ok, maybe Victorian).

The INT was on Ben, though the effort from Wallace to stop the defender afterwards was laughable.

I'm not sure what you're talking knee jerk... what people have been saying for weeks about this team has been coming to fruition. We've had the ability to grab the division title and have s*** it away every chance we've gotten.

I think he is referring to the Ben is unhappy about the play calling thread. Which seems to be the OP of that thread not hearing the full interview or being so upset he didn't understand it clearly but Ben didn't say he had problems with the play calling.

I would say AB on offense and OBVIOUSLY Victorian on Defense. Although it was actually a SPECIAL TEAMS play that cost us the game. THIS has actually been our true bane this year. If we had a TRUE returner we wouldn't need our $42million guy out there in one of the most dangerous phases of the game. But STILL AB needs to hold the ball and that's the SECOND game he has cost us this year with his fumbling. Oakland comes to mind.

I generally agree, but Ben can't be let off the hook either. That INT was a rookie throw all the way. Watching the replay from the angle that was close to his view, you can clearly see that Carr was well within the danger zone for a long out pass.

As for Victorian - now we know why he just got onto the roster. He was utterly awful tackling. However, our pass coverage in the 4th quarter with our 4th + 5th corners and Golden covering the slot guy was really not terrible.

Not if the ball was thrown accurately. Look at the replay again. The ball was thrown BEHIND Wallace. If thrown to where it was supposed to go (to the outside) either Wallace makes the catch or it's incomplete.

there were two moments were we had the game in our hand , one was when brown returned to 50 up by 7 we went 3 and out while we should have go for miller all the way , then when brown fumbled . the first is on haley the second one on brown , then came the overtime ....

This place is never great to be around after a loss, especially the last two weeks!

I think we should also remember the wisdom of Delzjc - who pointed out that every season we play it close, but some seasons the cards fall to us and sometimes they don't. When they don't, we look awful. When they do, we look like heroes. Last night's game had both - at points we looked like the battle-hardened Steelers of old, mastering a comeback victory. Then, on the next drive, we would look woeful.

I don't agree that Haley should be off the hook, but you're right that one or two plays going the other way and we are walking out winners... and this is simply how we play now, and have played for the last few seasons (NOT just since Tomlin took over, either).
