i thought they'd work Rogers in slowly. Boy was I wrong. Wheaton injury may have something to do with it but so what.

I'd say if Eli keeps playing good then Wheaton is gonna suddenly start saying he is miraculously healed. LOL!

No, he didn't and Haley even got in Elis ear after that play.

That play was exactly why I thought he should be worked in slowly but he did well over all. See if he keeps it up but most likely will have more snaps this year than I imagined.

RodgerS looks like a great slot receiver. We need someone to work the middle of the field. He is going to have an important role.

Don't worry I'll be checking the stat sheet when I get a minute to see if he was credited with a start.

Via Steelers.com Rogers DID start...as a 2nd TE. It's like the staff is just totally trolling you and PWP at this point. LOL! It also listed Coates as the 2nd WR. James was the other TE. So DHB did not start.

Thanks for admitting your thoughts on Rodgers, your coming around, next you'll be seeing and saying how bad JJ was as a 1st round pick and hope we never have to see Laundry playing.:lolol:

Unreal! The play of all the first time and very limited experience players. Both sides of the ball.

    Uhh! NT 28 S. Davis???

And just when I've been thinking the Steelers have been getting unimaginative, boring, stereotyped blah blah----I suppose a lot of this stuff will be discussed the next day or so.

Rogers was listed as a starter on the broadcast, in the absence of a FB.

    But aside from that...

He put in a good first performance, did as best as we could reasonably expect, and was part of an overall strong effort.

Once Wheaton is back, an already strong offense will be strengthened further.

I loved what I saw from Rogers last night, especially considering it was a debut. Here's hoping for just seeing more and more of an upswing.

uh no... that INT is on Eli. His downfield routes are not so good. He's got a lot of work to do in those areas, but it doesn't matter, because the areas he's strong in, he's VERY strong in (short area counter routes, quick slants, etc, which is where he was primarily used. That 4th and 1 crosser is right out of the Welker/Pats playbook. Our short yardage game between the run, AB, and Eli is as good as you will find.

Eli played 69% of the snaps. I expect that to go down a tad as Wheaton works his way back and Eli sees the field less on 3rd and long.

i think ben likes him and if ben likes a receiver he will be in there and be thrown the ball. DHB was pretty much MIA in this one.

Yeah I watched it again and it looked like he came out of his break a little late. Ben had the ball on the way before he even turned around.

it took AB and ben a lot of reps to get to where they are at. i expect with time rogers will get to that point with ben too.

If he does emerge as a target do you think it spells the end for Wheaton? Ben and Wheaton have honestly never been able to find a good chemistry. The only reason I could see Wheaton sticking around is if they feel like Martavis isn't gonna get his act together.
