A question is a type of sentence!! I think.

And mac, "premature" might be a more accurate word, because obviously if it was December then that logic would carry more weight. But my point is that it's not December, it's May, so there are plenty of reasons for him to remain unsigned, so it carries no weight, so it's stupid.

And JH was injured so its a wash.

Opinions aren't right or wrong but I won't get through to you on that either.

Will never know what JH can bring to the table unless we bring him back in pads. He's still a beast ..has great work ethics and a desire to help the Pittsburgh Steelers. IMO this alone is reason enough to give the man another chance to help our depth. Will it happen? time will tell.

It was his fault he went and played for a 4/3 defense and turned down more money from the Steelers because his pride got in the way. Stop making excuses for Harrison he's washed up.

My last point on this is I recall Harrison being injured at the beginning of the 2012 season, and he might have missed a few games.

don't forget we were going to keep him last year. the money was the only obstacle. so the steelers didn't feel he was washed up. we just needed money room, the same as this year and keisel so far. sure we were going to get younger at some point but it definitely wasn't because he couldn't play anymore.

Don't know how many games he missed but you try playing football with a bad back, let me know how that works out for you.

You haven't backed up your argument with anything substantial at all. To deny that JH would be good depth for this team is just unrealistic.

The only reason not to bring him back is they want to move forward with a total youth movement. While I don't completely agree with passing up a guy that could help you for the year, I would understand their motive for not bringing him back. But saying he can't help is ridiculous.

I see. So we both know he played in the wrong defense, which hurt his production. But because he tried for more money and lost and went to the wrong defense, that means he was washed up as a player. You got it all figured out.

It's not ridiculous. There's really no guarantee he would be able to play at a high level. Bringing in a washed up guy simply to be a mentor would be ridiculous. While his back might be "healed," once a back is gone it's never the same. He might be even worse now than he was in 2012. Even if he's on par with his 2012 season, that's not good enough and won't get the job done, so we'd be better off giving reps to younger guys

I wouldn't want to bring in a washed up guy either, I want to bring in JH. And giving a guy reps just because he is younger is counter productive to the ultimate goal. You can't honestly believe Carter would be more valuable to this team this year then JH? Carter is as good as he will ever be, you'd forget about him before he got out of the parking lot. But this has already been beaten to death so Im not going to go round in circles anymore. I stand by my statement, I think it's ridiculous to think JH couldn't help this team.

Agree whole heartedly...Carter who? I forgot about him and he's still on the team. It's a no brainer,I don't know why it's so hard to see. It's an immediate upgrade because there is no one else. People are either shooting down the idea because of age or because their feelings are hurt because he left. They are holding out hope that lightning strikes twice and we find a UDFA to be the next JH. Those odds are very slim at best. I base my opinion not only because I'm a huge JH fan but I also look at this team through a 5 yr window. I want the guy who can help us win games now. He fits what we need and are looking for to a T. Not him? Who else?

 Why don't you get a clue? He would've made more money with the Steelers had he stayed duh. I saw this on the internet the Steelers have never re-signed a star player they released, the only guys they brought back were role players Gay,Foote,McFadden. I'm done with this topic btw.

Too bad it still has nothing to do with whether JH can play or not. Can always spot a weak case when you have to build it around irrelevant facts.

You're probably right about one thing, JH isn't likely coming back, has nothing to do with his ability though.

Actually we don't know that he would have made more money taking a paycut. That is all a fan myth based on a story where it was reported that he could have made x amount of dollars taking the pay cut and staying. Since the team never comments on contract negotiations and neither did Harrison or his agent did you are basing your whole stawman argument on speculation. The money he made from the Bengals was money paid up front with zero strings unlike the rumors about the heavily incentive laden deal that the Pittsburgh beat writers were floating around as gospel .

Truth is, injuries or no James' play, like Woodleys, took a drastic dump. We can all debate back and forth but not that particular fact.

Now, we're all Steel fans here and so you can see the passion here for a great Steeler, which I get. Can he return to his former greatness and for vet min? Have no idea but I would roll the dice on that one.

I think the Steelers' plan may not be the same. Perhaps they're thinking you should have worked w/ us before as it may have changed the complexion of our FA, draft, and millions spent after the fact.

I actually thought he was getting back to his high level of play at the end of the 2012 season. You could see him improving as his back improved. I think he's worth taking a chance on.
