was it me or was Allen covering Wallace most of the time with Ike covering Hartline?

i think the coaches were getting tired of watching the guy Ike was covering put up career numbers. i think they thought Wallace would torch him. i think Allen did a pretty good job of keeping up with Wallace.

i think that game was a pretty good look at what the future for Ike is as a Steeler. i just dont think he will be back next year.

Ike has the worst ball skills of any corner I can remember. His coverage skills have always been well above average, which is how he has survived. His coverage skills have diminished significantly this year. Doesn't bode well for Ike.

I haven't looked at the financial figures, but if it's at all possible, Ike needs to go, along with a handful of other guys.

i think they need to bite the bullet with a few guys this offseason. Ike, Keisel, Clark and Woodley should all probably be gone. also not sure of the financial hit they would take on some of those guys, but they need to free up enough money to keep Worilds.

i love Keisel, but his best days are behind him and the guys they have to fill in for him are all pretty good.

Woodley wont be the same guy on the right side and i cant see them putting Worilds back on the right side if they can resign him.

    Ike and Clark are done.

im hoping that the oline has finally found something and im hoping that will keep them from using a bunch of drafts picks on the line next year. use those picks to get younger on defense.

I thought Woodley played well on the right considering he hasn't played it much..

Didn't they just restructure his contract? I think Ike lasts another year.

I can't see Cortez Allen and Willam Gay our starting corners. Cause even if we draft one he wouldn't start until year 2 or 3.

Does nobody else see how ridiculous this is? We draft a guy, he doesn't start until year 3, then in year 4 he's a free agent and signs somewhere else. What a great defensive system we have. We get to use a guy for 1 year before losing him to free agency

:this!: ... yet we bash a 2nd year offensive lineman for under performing, go figure.

I've been saying that for years. The system is either too complicated or the people we are drafting needs to have a higher IQ.

It shouldn't take 3 years before the guy see's the field

And if it's year one he is a liability. See this season for an example. Numerous blown coverages in the secondary and linebacking unit.

you have two rookies playing linebacker and a secondary where three of the four are over thirty.

Ike was on Wallace early, but I think he got hurt and went off to the sideline.

The game plan was initially Gay to cover Hartline and Ike on Wallace.

This is why it's time for a change at Defensive Coordinator. Simplify the scheme. Get these guys on the field. And get rid of vets that are done.

Taylor should go. He's done. Letting a QB out run you? Pathetic. His coverage skill have diminished each year and he is slow, and not worth the remaining money. Cut.

    Clark, Keisel, done.

And were going to lose Worilds because of a bloated contract. Unless they decide Woodley can be cut. I would be for it. I highly doubt that they could trade him.
