Ike Taylor

At times I have to admit I did not appreciate what Ike Taylor means to our team. The fact he has very few interceptions in his career, made me wish we had someone else there but seeing how they have done the last few games, makes me appreciate Ike Taylor soo much more. We need him back if we are going to get anywhere this year.

Josh Victorian, Curtis Brown and Robert Golden could be our starting corners next week.

Keenan Lewis got hurt in the game. Don't know how serious. We should fine out this week.

 

Its pretty sad that our secondary rests on having Ike Taylor in the game. Our backups are TERRIBLE. Im pretty sure I could tackle better than Victorian did yesterday. Lewis has been doing decent - he probably wouldnt start anywhere else (maybe Arizona) and now he is hurt. AJ Green is going to have a HUGE day on Sunday.

 

I'm sure you can tackle better than half of the team that played yesterday!

 

Awwww thanks I get what you are saying though and, unfortunately, at 5'2" Im pretty sure I COULD have.

 

Ike Taylor is the least expendable person on this team. Period. We have nobody behind him.

I'd rather see Ben lost for the season than Ike.

We might be in big trouble against Cincinnati. Who is going to guard A.J. Green? Will Keenan Lewis be back? Even if Keenan Lewis is back . . . Who is going to guard A.J. Green? Cue: Jim Mora.

 

Ike may not be the best in the league, but he is our best and we need him.

Thats my point....the BEST we have is Ike.

 

It is not like Victorian was originally on our 53 man roster. He was a practice squad guy. They are here now due to injuries. Ike and Tez both out are 2 of our top 3.Most teams do not have anything past their top 3 corners.

 

I like Ike for one reason - he knows how to tackle and isn't afraid to do it well. The problem with the other CB's taking up the slack right now is that they all want to make the big hits ala Clark. Got some advice for you guys - let Clark be Clark, you guys worry about coverage and TACKLING the ball carrier. Leave the hits to the safeties.

 

how is the last on the injuries (allen lewis and taylor ) . if they are out we should sign somebody from the street , victorian and brown are unwatchable , who knows maybe is some other ps there is somebody that can do a better job , in man coverage you don't need to know the defense too much , you stick and try to don't get beat
