Tomlin ran on to the field today and got in there to break up that ruckus today. Can you only get a flag for coming on it for a timeout?

 

I find it interesting that instead of just calling TO to the official there on the sideline and then calling the Ref over during the TO...he goes out on the field motioning for the Ref to come to him (as he was pissed about the last call)...THEN once he gets flagged he was like oh I was calling a TO.

As far as Tomlin versus this situation. Tomlin can out to try to break up a ruckus as you put it...not to intimidate/yell at/etc the Refs. They just said on TV that the teams were told that they would not tolerate this and they would be flagged.

And while I agree the Refs suck and have made many mistakes/wrong calls (or throwing a flag when they are supposed to but calling the wrong penalty)...but to chant "Horse ****" or "Bull****" on national tv? Such a classy place!
