I can't imagine Butler passed up a DC position last season if he wasn't guaranteed a the DC position here. Unless he agreed to wait 2 years, which I find a little hard to believe.

I think Arizona was mentioned, just because he has coached there already. Whiz hasn't even been fired though so not much to that rumor yet.

So there are four players that you may be able to make a connection with conditioning. That's pretty good over the course of the year if you ask me. If I'm not mistaken Woodley's latest injury was an ankle? Point is nearly all these injuries this year have nothing to do with the conditioning coach, just fans looking to blame somebody.

I agree. I know they won't fire him all we can hope that he retires and goes out that way.

So do you think our line is in good physical shape.? Take a look at the brown's or Houston's line and see if there is a difference.

Lebeau may retire and a couple of others may leave but Cowher had a 7-9 and two 6-10 seasons and the Rooneys didn't panic. There could be some major changes as far as players go but we'll have to wait and see.

The difference is that they didn't draft plodding draft horses to begin with. For the past many years the only kind of OL we took was at least 320# and unathletic. That changed with Pouncey, Adams to some degree, and then DeCastro. We're getting there, but it all starts with who we pick, not who we make them to be.

As for coaches under/overperforming, I think the only unit that has not played up to their billing is the WR crew, so maybe the WR coach could go. I think the DB coach is safe, and the front-7 coaches should be safe based on the declining skills/age of their guys. No way in heck am I going to can Mitchell or Butler based on this season. Wilson's unit has been unspectacular, but our best back has been out with injuries most of th eyear and in Tomlin's doghouse while he's healthy, so I think Wilson gets a pass for working mainly with B-quality talent.

How big is DeCastro anyway? I've always thought he looked kinda little. Relatively speaking of course.

He's much like Faneca I believe, around 6'5" and 300#.

Yeah he's basically the successor to Faneca I've thought. Man if he can be that kind of beast we are gonna be loving him! Actually besides Pouncey was Faneca our last linemen to make it to the pro bowl?

If any I think special teams coach could stand to get the axe... sometimes though, if the depth players that make up your special teams stink, there is not much a special teams coach can do?

Stop bragging! I could bench the 250, too, if I can do it 5 times, adding up to 250 lbs!

i have to disagree GB. butlers LB'ers have dropped off big time in production the last two years. woodley can't stay on the field, foote is starting, worilds after 3 years is not starter material. sly can't get on the field. after 14 games johnson, who is a vet can't get on the field over foote. i'm not seeing where either of these guys are showing an overwhelming coaching ability. as for mitchell, he has two first round draft picks and a 4th rounder thats now on the PS. where is the production?

i thin less than 20% chance we win both ...no way .. if we do beat the bengals and thats doubtful.. we will lose to the browns.. i think the browns are playing the best of any team in our crappy division right now
