This is an era when real men played football, no sugar coating. You were either tough
or you went home. Football is a violent game played by violent people. Not so much anymore.
Could we just find one more Gregg Lloyd type player in my life time?

We've all seen Brady play when he's getting pressured. He'd be admitted to a psych ward after substituting for Bradshaw in any of the more physical games he played.

I've seen Brady countless times when pressure was near just spike the ball into the ground to avoid being hit. If he did that back in the 70's his teammates would have beat the hell out of him. Coaches like Vince Lombardi would have to have his shoe removed from Brady's ass he would have kicked him so hard.

That would've been a great thing to see.

Micah Parsons, T.J. Watt, Nick Bosa and Aaron Donald are the only Front Seven players I can identify who would fit that criteria. Derwin James though?!?! He would fit hand in glove in the 70s without question.

Derwin James is as every bit of a heavy hitter as he is a play maker.

No way Brady holds up in the 70's, 80's or 90's. Brady arrived at the right time for QBs in the NFL. Peyton Manning was starting to lobby for special treatment... and Brady ended up prospering greatly for this.

Steve Young is bitter about the new rules protecting QBs. He says "Where the hell was this when I played? I could've played 10 more years if those rules had been in place!" :lolol:
