If we know Clark is out for first game then why not get a real safety ready. Wow, Mundy has no business playing in the NFL as a starter.

This is what I'm talking about because MUNDY SUCKS!! What happened to the Golden kid? Anybody would have been better then having Mundy try to cover somebody down at the goldline.

Matter of fact, why didn't the Steelers put Curtis Brown out their? I saw him make some great tackles on special teams.

Exactly, they knew for a long time they were going to Denver.
Give Troy the help he needed.

They kept 5 safeties....who do you want them to sign for one week?

I have been beating the FS drum for a few years...but we got what we got.

No, they needed to bring in a player who can play knowing Clard would be out first game.

We should have learned last year Mundy is not good enough to play

You need to stop wanting these guys if they keep ending up on the Bengals...wish for someone who is bad and maybe they'll take the guy you really want, hahaha.

I hope Troy and Clark can hold up next year because we will need Linebacker help first in the draft.

    My question is this:

Why make Troy play essentially FS? I know Mundy is no great shakes, but would it hurt that bad to have him actually play FS and let Troy be Troy?

It all boils down to mentality, and one that has driven me nuts over the years: fear of getting beat. Playing it safe. Playing not to lose.

golden and brown are hurt, so we were very thin at db. we got vandyke to be the gunner for last night and he looked good all night. he hasn't been here long enough to play on the defense yet.

golden could have helped last night and maybe brown too. that's alot of players out of there true positions on defense.

no harrison, clark. brown, golden, mundy not filling in and mundy as a starter. foote as a starter. he is better coming off the bench like he was meant to do, but sylvester and spence are out. will allen should have been gone long ago. our d-front didn't play all that bad.

Are you sure? McGahee averaged 4 yards per carry. Their three backs average 3.96 yards per carry. Moreno had a 7 yard TD run. Broncos had 8 rushing first downs. (Pitt had 2)

Keep in mind Broncos had one series with a 70+ TD catch otherwise they might have had over 100 yards rushing (91 not including Manning).

In my opinion, that's bad. Not terrible, but still bad.
