Agreed. JJ's play was much improved over his first year, get him back out there asap.

Okay, so if they do put him back in his old position, what do you do with JH? Move him over? Or have him spell Jones and Moates spell Worilds? Would an out of position Harrison be better than what we're seeing from Worilds?

JH isn't getting starter snaps now, shouldn't affect him at all.

To me, he's small for a LB so start getting him ready to take Michell's place....ala William Fuller that use to play for Cincinatti back in the day. The dude could blow some receivers up!

No offense but why do people keep talking about JJ being too small for an LB? Was Farrior too small?

Actually he's about the same size as Farrior. I can;t speak for all but in my opinion, he looks very lean and I question if he strong enough to for the position. It seems to me like he has trouble fighting of some blockers to make him that effective. Again, this is just my opinion.

I think he has the speed which will make him formidable at attacking the QB. As someone pointed out earlier he did have 2 sacks in 3 games.. He is IQ and speed will likely assist him in being an effective LB for the Steelers

Let's not forget, in addition to 2 sacks in 2+ games, JJ was also playing pretty well against the run - far better than Worilds was. I think he sees the field as soon as he's ready, and makes a decent impact.

I had the same reaction. I was sure he was back after the bye.

He has already outperformed Alonzo Jackson.

He may be small but my point is that he is no smaller then Farrior and well he played very well and was a force to be reckoned with. JJ if he can stay healthy has the ability to get to the QB with his relentless motor makes him a good linebacker for us. His speed converts to power quite well if you ask me..

At this point the problem with him does not relate to size. Can he get back on the field this year and stay healthy ? That is the question.

I just read that he hasn't even started practicing yet. I just don't see anyway he'll be back for the Saints and it wouldn't shock me if he's done for the year.

It's his stenosis that they worry about as far as keeping his upper body weight down and just really trying to train for strength. It probably attributes to his outside rush lack of the bend that the good OLBs get when they come off the edge. I really would love to see him have some of the technique the guys they cut from the team after pre-season had shown....

Farrior played a different position. I'd have no problem with JJ if he was an ILB. How many times did you see Farrior lined up outside? You need the strength to work free and the quickness. doesn't really matter the height as Harrison has shown before.

Yes I know Farrior played on the inside. I still think JJ will be fine. They brought him in for speed and obviously they are concerned with him adding a big frame which would compromise his speed. His rush is good enough to make him a good OLB.. IMHO

I think JJ is a flop too, what a first round reach in my opinion...We drafted him at 17 when we could have drafted Eric Reed who was drafted at 18, and Reid has been ballen at free safety, he has six picks in a season and a half, or we could have drafted an OT like Justin Pugh who was drafted at 19, two players who have been playing well that we could have had, Reid would have been a great pick for us at 17....

JJ has 2 sacks on the season, Worilds has 3.5. Considering JJ has missed so many games, I find it hard to call him a bust.

I wouldn't use the word "speed" and Jarvis in the same sentence.
