    .......

    Okay......

Number one; Why is Washington being taken out for anything?!

Numbet two; Since when is having an injury not a detriment. Keywords being "not a" as opposed to "the biggest"?!

Number 3; Has Broderick acted in a way that has been detrimental to the team?!

Number 4; Since when has Broderick showcased any lack of effort based on pedigree alone?! Id love to know personally.

Number 5; If the best players are supposed to be playing, why would it be detrimental to have your Left Tackle of the Future out there but not taking away playing time from your Right Tackle of the Future?!

Jones has now been replaced with Fautanu and will be on the 2nd team. Meaning if Fautanu remains healthy, Jones will not play because he's not starting. Everybody gets their wish.

    1. it limits what you do per play. you just paid friermuth a bunch of money and gives more options so they don't load the box.

    2. why is it not listed on the injury report? big trouble for not doing so.

    3. if he's acting disinterested as many reports have said, yes it's detrimental to the team.

    4. as i said IF that's the case. sure seems like he's acting butt hurt by being beat out by moore and troy.

Mark my words; at some point this season Jones will get his chance at LT. Let's hope he is very prepared to take the job by storm.... or at least not screw it up too bad.

I do agree that the arm injury is hampering him, but I'm not so sure he is playing out of position. Not every guy struggles with playing both sides. Jones played well at right tackle last season. I doubt that is the issue.

I'm not sure Fautanu did anything to take the job. Jones just isn't playing well enough. Maybe that is the injury. Maybe it is something else, but he isn't the player we saw last season.

Regarding the team getting in trouble, as I wrote earlier, I don't think teams have to list every bump and bruise as long as the guy is practicing in full and the injury isn't keeping him from playing in the games.

    So...

1.) Does this mean Freiermuth is prohibited from being added in to 13 Personnel Formations?!

2.) Just because an injury isn't listed on the injury report doesn't mean the player himself isn't injured. I recall T.J. Watt playing with a bad shoulder in 2021 and Cameron Heyward playing through his lower body injury a season ago. Regardless, their performance did suffer.

3.) He isn't disinterested due to him being benched. He is pissed off for he knows it is his fault he is benched. The report about him being disinterested stems more with Tomlins weird ass plan to rotate Offensive Tackles as opposed to use Fautanu as a sixth Offensive Lineman circa Kelvin Beachum.

4.) A player being pissed off at themselves due to their own undoing isn't acting entitled. It is called accountability.

Has the genesis of his elbow injury been made public? Did it occur in training camp?

Don't you think a player with heart would want to get on the field
as much as he could to show coaches they need to play him?

    More accountability by Broderick.

    Article is here.

Again, I truly fail to understand where the narrative spawned from that he lacks self discipline. Now, to the credit of others who claim this, has Tomlin drafted such players in the past... and present?! Absolutely. Not everyone is going to receive character scores in the same vein as a Marvin Harrison Jr, SaQuon Barkley, Quenton Nelson or even CJ Stroud. Just isn't possible for such men are very rare to come by. Kenny Pickett clearly is the biggest recent red mark on Tomlin's resume currently. He, in fact, quit on the team.

Broderick?! Not even close. All that said, does any of this absolve him from his performances thus far?! Absolutely not. Fair or not, Broderick hasn't played well. The key of all of this regarding Broderick is as follows; him taking accountability is a good sign that he can and will improve down the road.

It is unfortunate that it has come to this. However, in life, the greatest lessons we all learn are the ones we shall never forget. This current lesson for Broderick Jones is an invaluable one; complacency is the enemy of progress.

As I have said before on him and will again; all up to Broderick to do so. He was arguably my favorite player from the 2023 Steelers Draft Class then and still is now. I haven't given up and will continue to believe in him until proven otherwise.

Agreed. I think it was just his way of saying he should be playing better or not at all.

    Exactly

And we are on page 5 of it being blown out of proportion

No wonder players don’t want to talk to anyone

Yep. Editing can alter content. And people are lazy.

I don't think there's anything wrong with Broderick's attitude. I think maybe he underestimated the work he has to put in to be a pro, but in the end, I think he'll be just fine.

    what is your point?

you think YOU can eval Broderick - being on a SUCK offense last year, out of position, terrible coaching - and now with an elbow injury? BTW - he had many good grades last year - was a VERY YOUNG rookie......

Every minute Broderick is on the field he is being evaluated, if he is not producing
there are consequences. Like being demoted to 2nd string.

All the time, and not only tested, and evaluated, but a lot if what I did must pass test ....like x-ray, heat, and stress test, and this would change from state to state. Also when I played music out....you are judged very quickly.
