If Antonio Brown stayed the course, he would have been a Top-3, Top-2 WR ever in the NFL. Ever"

It’s very possible. He was a dominating force right up until he quit on the team.

I still think he's easily a Hall of Famer and one of the top 5-7 WR's that has ever played. He was incredible. He has some personal issues that seemingly spiked after the calculated headshot by Vontaze Burfict, but his play on the field was undeniable. Ben to Brown was the best connection of all time. He had elite hands, elite sideline catching ability (Tony Toe-Tap), elite contested catch ability, elite run after the catch ability, elite route-running.... hell, he was the best punt returner in the league too. It's crazy that a guy who is 5'10'' 185 lbs was such a force at a position where the prototypical star is 6'3''-6'5'' and 210+ with 4.4 speed. He didn't have the crazy athletic combine numbers or the frame, he was just better.

He was responsible for his decline. He was coddled. Its between the ears. Great player. Mental case. And still is.

Personally I don't care. He is irrelevant.

I think he'd be in the conversation for top 2. He had a rare combination of talent, athleticism, and work ethic.

Unfortunately he was his own worst enemy.

Hopefully he gets the help he needs.

While I do believe his head was not on right, I wonder how Belipoop would have handled him?

You can't discount what AB did from 2012-2017 it was pretty impressive stuff.

He was definitely on track to be the #2 best ever next to Jerry Rice.

Crazy part he had a nuts work ethic with his craft. I don't doubt that.

But, he either has CTE early onset by hits, or he just has bi-polar disorder.

Many think that its CTE, but AB's problems go clear back to his juvenile and high school days.

There is a real reason why this guy wasn't playing at a Florida school and basically had to walk on a Central Michigan, he had behavior problems and issues long before he was a Pro-Player.

I think its undiagnosed bi-polar disorder. I'm not a Phycological Health care professional, but if I had to bet everything I own on his diagnosis its bi-polar disorder.

Too much of an Egomaniac basket case for me to give 2 cares right now. He and LeVeon Bell can go ponder together how great they really could have been with our team.

That was Brown at 31, not in his prime. Also, he seemed to get a hell of a lot worse around the time he turned 30. If he was really always that messed up, Tomlin deserves even more credit than he gets for managing to get such great production out of Brown before he imploded.

Oh well. Some fools actually think it was all Roethlisberger and Brown did nothing special.

Agree to all that. He was on the downside of his career when he left. Him leaving was good for us.

I cannot comment on a diagnosis, but I think you are spot on with most things said. When the team gave him the extension the first time around there were mutterings, but his play and work proved it self. Whether things were known and hidden..or at least held in check we do not know, but the behavior seemed to escalate quickly, and it was not pretty.

About HOF… he hurt himself just like Barry Bonds hurt himself. They both burned way too many bridges.
Do i think he is a HOF? Yes i do, but off field antics and during games that is not a HOFer . I dont think we will see him in the HOF no time soon if ever.

He was problematic way before he got his first big contract per Ryan Clark

Those were very different situations. The Hall of Fame is a joke as long as Barry Bonds isn't in it. He was that good. There are plenty of cheaters in the Hall already. There are terrible people, too. I have no doubt whatsoever that there are PED users in there, too.

Brown probably has the resume to get there, but his case isn't so good that it would be a disgrace if he is left out.

I don't think so. Didn't he have an obsessive fanboy love for Brown?

The man was problematic all the way back to high-school. Like was stated there is a reason he played where he played, and how it happened.
