What would be the Rooney's reaction if we went 6-10 or worse 4-12? Even if Ben is healthy and no other major injuries. Would Tomlin be gone?

Yes I m bored and tired of hearing bout cap issues and over the hill free agents.

Personally, I think Tomlin maybe in trouble if we have a losing season.

It wont happen. If bens healthy we win at least 10 games. We are still one of the most talented teams in the league.

just because two lasted a long time doesn't mean they all did. 16. i'm not sure art would have kept cowher for 15 years. times have changed in the league with free agency. owners want to win and the rebuilding isn't the same because the window of time is shorter, with how long you sign and have the same core of players. we are seeing that hit us now. no i don't think it would happen to tomlin in one more season but not much longer. not with the money we have wrapped up in key players for him. they also better quit having drafts that totally whiff.

ben can't do it alone. we have always had stellar defenses around ben. i'm not sure we are still at that level let alone another year older. with very little in the defensive hopper.

I'LL bet the UNDER on 10 wins in 2013 .... wanna be my bookis? .. thanks .. thats ez money ... we won 8 this year with a better them than we will have in 2013.. no wallace to spread the field.. no heath for probably at least 12 games... lots of vets cut... and the vets that stay are a year older.. we will be damn lucky to go 8-8 again wether ben is healthy or not

We also lost five games by three points, played 3 1/2 games with our second and third-string quarterbacks, and came within a missed field goal of making the playoffs.

Not to mention, I love our schedule this year. Home games against Buffalo, Miami, Tennessee, Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore, Cincinnati and Cleveland? I see 6-2 there.

Road games at New England, NY Jets, Green Bay, Minnesota, Oakland, Baltimore, Cincinnati, and Cleveland? I see 4-4 there.

    I've got 10-6.

    I'm bored with the Tomlin-bashing.

Is this the result of people being bored with no Arians-bashing?

    How'd that work out?

God Forbid this team starts out 0-2 to begin 2013. The board will light up that we should have kept BA to be Head Coach.

I just hope this team shows up with a chip on their shoulder and wanting something to prove.

I see 6-2 there. looks like 8-8 to me.. and as far as losing the close games..thats the sign of a BAD team.. we used to be a GREAT team that found a way to WIN... now we find a way to lose the close games.. thats the worst part of it .. and we have NO KILLER INSTINCt to put hte bad teams away early so they feel thay can win in the second half..and often do on a last minute FG... we are just not a mentally tuff team

    REALLY!?
BA was driving me nuts each and every game. Ben was tearing it up spreading the ball to 9,10, 11 different receivers right up until he got injured. Haley's offense was clicking and Ben's TD to INT ratio had many predicting a possible MVP season. You can keep BA ball. It made me sick weeks at a time.

Just wishful thinking by some. The Rooneys aren't about to abandon a model that has helped build one of the most successful franchises in football. Besides, everyone with the exception of this board knows Tomlin is a top 5 coach, I see it talked about all the time, so why would the Rooneys fire him? Tomlin still hasn't ever had a season as bad as Bill did. He might not last as long as Bill but I see him here for another 4 seasons easy, that would give him 10 years, after that, anything is possible.

No, Tomlin won't be fired this year unless something crazy happens, but I do think he'll be done within 4 years, which is actually a short period of time when you consider who he coaches for. I think we're beginning to see what Tomlin has to offer, and it isn't much.

I'm not seeing a real reason to be overtly positive about next season.

I think we need 1 more year to reload and gain experience for the young guys.

Therefore I would not Fire Tomlin since the talent isn't really there yet..

The difference maker is Ben with him it changes the whole complexion of the team.. but what are the chances Ben's going to stay healthy a full season his track record scares me..we best be grooming a competent backup when needed. With our current string its always a nail biter and in most cases disappointment.. to reiterate Ben needs to change his mechanics or have an o-line that's going to give timely protection via his style of play or its deja vu. The qb is not a one man band but sure as hell is vital.

Just hope MT cleared the cobwebs for 2013

"Darn it I thought my pants were black to go with my blazer but they're really just a dark blue" "Jeez I thought the price you quoted included the tax"......Its gotta be Coach Tomlin's fault! This is how ridiculous some of you guys sound and I'm tired of it. I'm convinced that there are some of you who want to see Coach T fail so that we can hire (insert your own coach here).

You do realize that Coach T has not had so much as 1 losing season at the helm right? You do realize that he has 2 Superbowl appearances right. OK let's replace Coach T with WHO EXACTLY? The man has as many rings as Harbaugh, Mccarthy, Payton, Dungy, Cowher, Gruden, Vermeil, Holmgren and Madden. He has AS MANY appearances as Shanahan,Reid, Cowher. So once again I will ask WTF are you looking to lead us? Coach T IS one of the many bright young coaches in the game. Can he be better sure (Time Management comes to mind as an area) but EVEN a Hall of fame coach can make those mistakes (Anyone see Belichek and Brady blow a chance for another possession right before the half in the game against Baltimore? Who do want to blame Genius Belichek or Super QB Tom Brady?

Stop with these non-productive threads (they're not even comical anymore). The fact of the matter is We're FRIGGIN OLD! You know, I know it and heck even Tomlin Knows it. IT HAPPENS TO EVERYONE! So even if next year is a losing season (which I also don't see) I don't see the organization pulling the plug on someone who most GM's wish they had on their sideline. That is all!

OUr offense was clicking? More like we lived and died by Ben's performance on 3rd down.
