Brady would have thrown all over our secondary, again. Hopefully, next year, Arians will be gone along with Taylor and Gay and the O and D lines will be healthy all season.
So, I guess the victory party is at your house? :yeehaw: :yeehaw: :yeehaw: :yeehaw: :yeehaw:

    :amen:

No excuses. We failed to game plan. We failed to prepare. We failed to adjust.

    We failed.

Fact is Hampton and Kiesel both left game, the backups failed.

Oh yeah and the backup center had issues snapping the ball.

I think too many people ripped this thread and my thinking for all the wrong reasons.

The proof's in the pudding that this team was not going anywhere. I knew it. Many others knew it. And some were turning a blind eye to it.

Fact is, I LOVE THE STEELERS and I HATE LOSING. And there are two teams in the NFL that I cannot STAND losing to: 1. The Patriots; 2. The Cowboys. I am fine with tonight's outcome. It is what it is. The Steelers are not playing well. Blame injuries. Blame age. Blame coaching. Blame whatever. But this team was not as good as its 12-4 record. The offense stinks. The defense is overrated--they can't put pressure on the QB and the secondary can't cover.

I can tolerate a loss to the Broncos and Tebow. It puts us out of our misery. It beats spending the entire offseason having to stomach yet more Patriots "own" the Steelers crapola from Pats fans. I am glad I don't.

Your right, hearing crap from the entire NFL fan base for losing to Tebow, is going to be SO much better. I would rather listen to only the Pats fans.

There' a difference. The Steelers losing to Tebow says more about the Steelers right now than it does Tebow and the Broncos.

Losing to the Pats would be yet ANOTHER loss to the Pats and Brady the Almighty One.

It says the Steelers are the laughing stock of the other 31 teams. At least a loss to the Pats would have had a level of respect in it.

Still don't agree with your logic, but if you choose to be a bandwagon Steeler fan then that's something you have to live with.

I can'y believe that you are bragging that you knew the Steelers weren't going to win. I understand what you were trying to say in your original post that you would rather deal with the fallout from a loss to Denver than a loss to New England, but you have to understand that it comes off as dumb selfish logic to almost root for your team to lose so you don't have to deal with the aftermath of a possible loss to New England. Nothing you say to defend it is going to change what people now think about your loyalty to the Steelers and you are only further confiming that by rubbing others noses in it.

Well none of us have control over any of this. I didn't do anything to help the Steelers lose this game. I actually thought they would win. I'm shocked at how poorly the defense played. I am not sold on the D, but I did think they'd keep the Broncos to 10 points or less.

You say a "possible loss" to the Pats. There's no possible. It would have been a loss.

I never want to lose and definitely don't EVER root for my team to lose regardless of how bad they played this year.

Even though all his facts i believe are true, I always want the Steelers to win and with every fiber in my body i root for them to win every sunday.
