I wonder if Wallace caused the Game Plan

During the preseason we ran a lot of 2 WR stuff ...From that we had a lot of screens and a lot of passes to the RB'S....We also ran a lot of power plays in the running game...If you guys remember the Power running game was the 1st. thing we put in at OTA'S and it was the 1st. thing we used at camp...It seems strange that we didn't see more of it?

IMO Haley put in most of the 3 WR package after Wallace got back,the OL looked confused blocking,Ben and the RB'S had some rough exchanges....Maybe Haley wanted to keep Wallace motivated and reward Sanders for his hard work in the pre season-?Anyway with the Jets coming up we better find a way to run the ball a lot better...I expect us to go back to more 2 WR sets this next game.....

No excuses for Redman,but the game plan changed from the preseason...We ran a bunch of delay handoff stuff from the 3 WR sets and yes Ben and all the RB'S where running into each other on those exchanges....This tells me we have not practiced that stuff enough...

I think the Steelers Depot had us running 57 % or so from a 2 RB set in the pre season and only like 25 % of 3 WR sets ....This game they ran around 55 % from 3 WR sets and like 20 % from 2 WR sets.....A reporter even asked Coach T why we ran so much 3 and 4 WR stuff...

Where did that Rocket formation go?The one they talked about running for 2 or 3 days in practice?Where did that WR screen go that used the TE as the lead blocker at the WR spot??

 

you can't take much from the preseason percentages. we may have run those same plays with 1st,2nd, and 3rd string lineups. sure it will be higher.
